It's important to note that you have to pay to stop giving information to Microsoft, and they can decide to start taking that information again anyways.
Name an instance, then.
Look through the images you replied to. They already have the proof.

I've actually decided to go back to 8.1.

I'm actually gonna start agreeing that what Microsoft is doing is fishy and I don't trust it.

I don't, but I do know there is no proof stating that stuff is on 8.1.

Win 7/8 are stable working OS right now and Microsoft is giving out this "free" unstable Windows 10 out to use us as beta testers.

And here I was just hesitant to upgrade solely because I'm pretty sensitive to small changes. Whenever developers mess with anything I use often (that isn't broken) with no option to turn it back to the old way I always get pretty frustrated.

This looks like facebook levels of bullcrap.

Actually...I have a quick question. Are we freaking out over this privacy policy? http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/wind ... -statement

EDIT : Nevermind. I found it.

Linux is good only if you want a limited set of programs. How many things are compatible with linux? How many with Windows?
i've never heard something more retarded in my whole life

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX. Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

Look, we never looked down upon you for choosing Windows 10. Aero was just warning everybody of the terrible privacy policy and ads that they stuffed into the operating system. It is absolutely none of your business what operating system people prefer. Hell, it doesn't even sound like you understand many operating systems outside of Windows. I won't go into detail about OS X, but...

You think Linux users pick that because they want program support? No, Linux distros are the most open operating systems out there. They allow for the most tinkering with the computer and make great environments for programmers or just people who like total control. Not to mention, Linux distros tend to be much faster and more efficient, and bugfixes come out so often that a virus would only be effective for such a short amount of time that there wouldn't be a point to make one. When Valve ported the Source engine to Linux, it almost ran as fast as it did on Windows, which had 10 years of optimizations. Support has been going up over the years, and if there is no alternative, you can always run something under Wine.

Now, I'm not an expert on any of Linux. My experience with Ubuntu ended shortly when I realized it was incompatible with my wifi adapter, and I haven't touched it since, but maybe you should do a little research before telling people that they're making the wrong decision.

hardware incompatibility now is such a rare thing to find honestly. take it from someone who uses linux as a secondary daily driver (my use of linux vs windows is split 50/50 now that SMBX is running on it). it's so much better, but I still can't switch full time bc blah blah blah no creative suite blah blah i have certifications in photoshop illustrator and indesign blah blah blah i can get a job with these certifications vs can't with my skill in inkscape blah blah blah.

seriously, your reasoning here is downright retarded (NOTE: i did not call you retarded, i called your reasoning retarded ;) )
