I voted 'no' because nothing ever seems to get done. Everything that has been waited on since last summer: the medals, blocking the botnets, updating the GFX page, etc. still hasn't been finished yet. Honestly for just the IRC alone, if we just moved the IRC to a secure network (freenode, esper, indie) we wouldn't have nearly as many problems and would probably have more legitimate visitors from other people on a bigger network. Even though there hasn't been an attack in months on the forum, having an actual captcha would make it impossible for bots to join like before where you could just script an answer to an unchanging captcha which in itself defeats the purpose of the security question.

I voted "no" because, as GhostHawk said (though I wasn't aware so much hasn't been getting worked on like it was promised), nothing gets done around here. Joey keeps delaying everything.

I just don't really like how things are being run, I really haven't from Day 1, to be honest. I'm honestly surprised that Joey put up a community poll topic like this, though is he really going to change anything? I doubt it.

the community itself, its going smooth, there's no major retardation nor major drama like back in knuxforums, so that part i do like.

though, like others mentioned, i don't like the fact that a lot of shit is getting delayed, and i'm also not sure of why we need to be in that one network for the smbx forums, when another network is just going to be more secure and will have more visitors to the chat.

I voted "yes". I like how the forum is pretty SMBX focused, with frequent contests, featured episodes/graphics. I'm also pretty satisfied with the staff, especially since the last two GMs chosen are definitely good choices. I would like to see more positive changes, cause it doesn't seem like many new ideas are actually being implemented, but overall I'm satisfied with the direction this community is going.

It's honestly why I liked the idea of the community being split into 2 seperate forums
1 was Knux's, which was pretty cool, I didn't find it annoying, although people did bash each other
And then you had whatever 2nd forum there was, in which it was usually annoying in some kind of way, but everyone was nice (I will say though, that it seems like they're being forced to, not that they want to)

Do you know why I went to the Awesomenauts Forums?
Because they were all mature in some kind of way, had common sense when posting, mostly had good morals, and whenever a troll came along, they usually ignored them because it's all in good fun. I have seen no admin there at all have to issue bannings on people because they always had good morals as well as the users themselves knowing when they've gone too far and will come to a screeching halt with whatever they were doing and get back on-topic to compensate. Going off-topic is fine there because the forums want the users to talk about things inside of their own topics, not talk about 1 specific thing and let the topic die after. People have derailed topics about tuna and The Binding of Isaac Rebith, and unless the OP wasn't fine with it, they could continue as much as they please because they want a forum that people will be comfortable talking to each other with very little restrictions. In fact, the Off-Topic forum there only has 4 simple rules about people that cannot post:
* Misleading threads with no content
* Spam
* Bad attempts at being funny with internet memes
* Anything that goes against the forum's Code of Conduct
I understand no two forums should be alike and this is just my tastes talking, but everyone seems friendly to each other, and, like I said, people don't care about the people being trolls most of the time because all they do is ignore them because they know they're trying to get each other mad.

The reason I dislike the SMBX community is not because of the rules or restrictions, but the people themselves

How I believe this can be fixed? Separation of the goddamn community.
Why?
Well, if you don't know why, I'd honestly believe you weren't part of this community during the Knux and original NSMBX times. If you were and you still don't know, I'd think you're pretty stupid.

The best way for this community to get better is for its users to just be more mature. The only way to do that is for the staff to not tolerate bullshit like what was done for almost 3 years on Knux's forums. Like I've said before, this is why I'm so strict; the community needs it because Knux never was. If you think about it, I'm really not that strict - it's just a contrast from the way Knux was.

What I love about the direction this community is going in is that it seems busier. There just seem to be more interesting things going on than Knux's forum in 2012-2013. There's always some contest or event going on, there's always seem to be insane Mafia games, and whenever the RP threads go online, you'll have those too. I also love how more professional the side looks compared to just a prophpbb site, there seem to be note resources here availiable to level designers.

I don't mind the comparatively more moderated environment, with lax staff, the community seems to deviate towards mindless shitposting, overall destroying the integrity of the site
