Yay! Chad is back! Finally!

ANNOUNCEMENT: My current plan is to have this episode ready for release by June, so set your calandars everyone! We're almost finished here and I want to thank my awesome level design team in advance. In case you're interested, it looks like the final level tally for each level designer will be krazykoopa-17, Zephyr-12, Valtteri-6, and Chad-6.

Zephyr, feel free to edit this info into the main post when you get the chance.

This is crazy exciting to see a new "official" SMBX episode almost finished by the same team (give or take a few people) that made one of the originals. Did Chad end up making any levels since he came back? Either way, this looks awesome.

Chad is planning to make one more level for sure, and maybe two. I'm really happy to have him back!

Because it's made by level designers. Can't you see their names are colored purple?

The episode is recognized as official in the sense that it is an official smbxgame.com episode. It's not necessarily touted as an official SMBX episode (though some people are probably going to argue about this).

But the distinction isn't so important as the fact that this episode looks awesome.

It's actually the other way around - Level Designers are added to the group based on their status as such for the official episodes.

Official SMBX.org episodes = official SMBX episodes. TGCA/RTYI/etc. were official on the old site, and SMBX itself takes those episodes as official. It's all the same, really.

The way I see it, seeing as these guys created the very first TGCA, which was an official episode earlier in the day, the NGCA works as an official episode as well. I believe it was in development back when Red was still around, and I'm positive he would've had this included in the game had it been finished before SMBX went down.

Because we're the only active SMBX forum, we have a design that's exactly like the old site, and we're friends with other sites.

But since you probably don't care about any of that, I will say that Redigit told me if he ever needs to say something to this community he'll make an account here.

It will probably be released next month or during the Spring of April. I just can't wait to see more off the game. Are you planning to release new screenies soon?

As I said last week, this episode will be released in June. We need another three months to finish up all the levels, and then the final version will be beta tested which should take a couple of weeks, depending on how fast our beta testers are. I don't have an exact release date yet, but the last week of June is my best guess.

We're not ready to show off more screenshots yet, but we'll likely release one more batch of screenies before the episode launches.

oh yeah, i totally forgot about Krazykoopa and Zephyr being brothers, eh eh.
that mirror level intrigues me, i can't wait to play the full episode!
