Hope you also will mention not for the first players only by the config controls but also for the secondary player controls aswell. Of course the second player is rarely on the use because you need another human player to actually do it but at least you can give out infos as of which buttons you use for the secondary player. Is it the same as the first one or is it actually different?

By having them at the same buttons means that you can play both players at once... can be a fun challenge but at the same time it defeats the purpose of an natural 2 player mode in SMBX since usually you need another human player to do it.

Speaking of multiplayer, let's hope that the future creation of a reversed reenginered SMBX (VSMBX and PGE) has a multiplayer function that can be done via online. With this we can play eachother online with ease once this functionality has been provided.

That made me remember I still haven't changed the controls of the player 2 (yes it's the same as player 1)

Alt run: D
Pause: P

Single left handed SMBX best SMBX.

Drop Item: R1
Pause: Start

I plan on using the FCEUX/ZSNES standard controls soon because the current controls I have are garbage and really hard to manipulate.

I use the original ones with the assistance of my script for glovepie I made that lets me play SMBX with the wii classic controller.

no; the standard controls have drop item as shift and pause as escape

Default for player 1 other than pause being set to the pause button on a keyboard because Player 2 has the same controls because that might make a fun SMBX challenge to be controlling two players at a time

is that video so loud?

Because of how my right arrow key crapped out on my old laptop, I had no other choice than to set my movement keys to...
Right: '
Down: ;
Left: L
Up: P

Everything else is still the default control.

I use the default ones. I rarely got to play SMBX with anyone so idrc about the 2nd player controls.

I use default controls, except for:
Run: A
Alt Jump: X
Pause: Enter

Default for P1.

Because I use all on keyboard, the second player controls are completely different:

J, I, K, L to move.
P to jump
M to sprint
N for tanooki's
V to Sjump (this hurts your hand, use B instead)
0 to drop Item

Esc & enter for menu, ok that's all

I use these controls:
Jump: X
Alt jump: S
Run: Z
Alt run: A
The rest is default.
