Would you mind elaborating on this?

I'll make a more thorough post about it tomorrow.

I've been reading through this thread because I've been thinking about joining the IRC chatroom for myself when I'm around. :)

Wouldn't it be possible to set up a chat-bot that automatically saves all chat-logs 24/7 ?
Also, I definetly think this forum is going into the right direction. Looking forward to having a great time with ya all!

While this is a great idea, I don't know whether or not it'd be possible.

By the way, I'll post my opinions about all of the points made in the OP tomorrow.

It seems you have a lot to learn. It's beyond possible, you just need to know how to do it. While you're at it, I think you might as well make a bot that does other commands, and post reporting. Would be helpful.

Um, That would be a bit creepy. Especially because it just makes me feel like I'm going to get stalked if I go on the chat. But nice suggestion ;)

Think about what happens when people join Terraria or Minecraft servers. When those people input chat messages, those messages get sent to the host's console, which can then be read through and presumably saved as a plain text file (.txt). I can especially imagine this happening on big Minecraft servers like Mineplex--you have tons of moderators who can later read through all of what you said. What I'm trying to say here is that when you're talking to people on a public server, you're also submitting your messages to the public. Fair enough?

Never mind, my reasons were pretty subjective, not worth the following argument/debate (depending on who participated)

Congratulatons on your postcount+ing skills. <.<

On the topic of the irc log, if you'd like an example I know a bot that already has the function, but it'son a foriegn channel. Unless familiar with Metroid Construction?

Wohlstand has a bot on #teatime that logs everything, 24/7. I do as well, whenever my PC is on.

You know that wasn't my intention. It took me until I was trying to find them and when I'm more awake they do feel too subjective to use.

That's why staff shouldnt let you make a post saying you'll make that post later. If you're going to post, post, if not then don't post.
