Because it would be great. And if my levels are subpar like Valtteri said then wait till he sees one of my more recent levels.

No no no no no. At this rate we will never finish this. Lets just keep the already made levels and continue on the levels not claimed yet.

This will be a level designer project, meaning the Level Designers will make all the levels. The submission thing wasn't really getting anywhere.

you could use those levels for Natsu's collab (if it's still a thing)

or we could keep 'em for bonus worlds postgame thing.

also we have like 7 lvl designers so far.

Please no. I know this might sound biased as a person who has contributed a lot to this back then, but I wouldn't want to see all our efforts and memory with this go to waste.

Besides, even though the world 1 levels are about a year old, most of them could still easily match with the high-quality levels that are made nowadays. Play them if you want to confirm that for yourself.

I can see why people would want to discard the community levels, but keep in mind that there will be lots of revisits to the iconic levels from The Invasion series later on. Besides, why doesn't the world map bother you as much? That's very different from what the original Invasions had, too. I don't think the 20-ish different levels will ruin the formula.

Yes it was? There was like 2 worlds completed over 2 months? For 11-level worlds that's quite a lot.

Also re: revisited levels: it seems like you guys are trying to cram the old levels and your vision together with kinda clashy results. I'd really prefer it if this was like Revisited 2 and made no pretense of following an old episode.

that's ridiculous.

the submission thing made the project more fast-paced.

and i was a project moderator and a level designer (even if i didn't submit any levels) on SMBX:R so to see i'm still not a level designer, well, that's rather disappointing tbh.

Whats wrong with making this not a community project? Just reject the levels that are terrible. Just because a well-known good level designer can make good levels doesn't mean other people in this community can't.

i just thought that starting from 0 would make the new levels better or stuff like that.

Guys, me and Valtteri are just planning things out, we're not sure yet on what to do with the project:
Should we keep invasion levels and remake them (Like Redigit did with Invasion 1 -> Invasion 2)? Should we include smbxr levels? and if so, should we change the gfx style of these levels to SMAS?
What will people expect from the world map? Should it have custom graphics (after all, that was what the first invasion 3 team tried)?
Be patient, it will be kinda hard to please everyone with this. =)

Some TI2 remakes but mostly new levels that undergo similar themes to the previous games.

I can't imagine remaking TI2 levels because I can imagine them having Valtteri's slopey expanded tilesets and crazy custom sprites in style. I know that would take effort on Valtteri's part but it seems wrong for that to be a successor to The Invasion 2, which was practically the opposite as Chad said

well i still think we should restart from scratch, but if most of the users want to see theyr levels in here, then just keep 'em i guess.

as for the graphic style i have no preferences.

I think you should bring back some of the old levels and update them (Longer level, more power-ups), but have new levels added to the mix. Everyone's involved here in some way.

I voted "leave them as it is". I don't think they should be changed, they are still good from what I've seen.
