I'd love to see or do that kind of configuration thing sometime though, since I do use your editor :p
Where you live? (country/city), my server is located in Moscow, and through ocean from USA will be a slow speed
for example, my real speed of server's connection is 60 MB/s, but, for example, from Florida (where living Luigifan2010) is ~<4 Mbps speed to my server. Who living in Europe (Germany, Spain, France, Great Britain, Belarus, Ukraine, etc.) have normal speed with my server.

You can just copy SMBX 1.3 config pack into new folder (for example, SMBX_Redrawn) in the same config directory, and do replace whole GFX of them with your. (Don't forget to rename config pack in the main.ini file)
Also, SMBX's hardcoded GFX located in the data/graphics/common folder but PGE using that graphics in the PNG format. Other GFX folders was sorted:
block, background, background2, npc, effect was placed into data/graphics/level; tile, path, scene, level placed in the data/graphics/world; mario, peach, luigi, toad, link, yoshi - in the data/graphics/characters folder. But filenames are same, also possible customize locations of same folders (look the main.ini file). Level/world specific customization rules are same which in the SMBX, but in the PGE worlds have custom folder like levels to prevent flooding of episode directory with world map customizations

EDIT: I just got your pack and preparing them to be uploaded as full configuration pack

I also will try to extract hardcoded graphics to make them added into pack too.

EDIT2:
Also, concept of new splash for this config pack:

Multi-layered source for Paint.NET http://engine.wohlnet.ru/docs/_configs/ ... splash.pdn
Why I removed "World" word? Because this is a name of famous game and busy. This pack is not a SMW, but about Mario, and I was named simply "Super Mario Redrawn". Also, too many repeats and copy-pastes, which time-by-time will be annoying ("Super .....", "Super-pupper....", "Super-puper-mega....", "Mega-ultra-gyga-tera-peta....", "Super-Great King of some far-far country which was seized cow from farm of my neighbor!!!" :P).
Because your GFX pack is unique unlike others, it should have own unique logo and title! It shouldn't be similar to others. It should have more, better! ;)

Also, here I was placed experimental build of configuration pack with using of your GFX pack
http://engine.wohlnet.ru/docs/_configs/SMBX_Redrawn/
and Google Drive mirror
I'm recommend get at first "lite" pack which without music (13M), because music which including into full pack contains a 320 Mbps MP3 HQ SMBX music pack which directly ripped from SNES/NDS/N64 chip tunes. This music pack is pure and have clear playback, but size is huge (total size of config pack is 247M).

Is it the red that's throwing you off? I was afraid that might not look good. How about this?

I'd have to see them in-game to compare, but this one doesn't look that bad.

[1:18:32 PM] StrikeForcer: You do not really need to change the colors of Mario per murphmario's suggestion because it is not about the colors.
[1:18:37 PM] StrikeForcer: More about the shading.
[1:18:56 PM] StrikeForcer: Which is not simply just recoloring.
[1:19:08 PM] Deoxys™: ah
[1:19:42 PM] StrikeForcer: I would recommend taking a harder look at your recolored Mario and compare that to icegoom's.

I don't have time to do this to every Mario sprite, though. If someone does have time, that's great.

Why is the Thwomp not like Tulip's? It looks like NSMB's Thwomp.

Tulip's is from TSRPR. I like the NSMB look that appeared in the original GFX hack a bit better.

Ow, yea :D

Also, SilverDeoxys563, standalone configuration package for PGE is available now: https://wohlsoft.ru/config_packs.php and faster mirror here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id= ... sp=sharing

I will use those graphics for create the copyright-free content configuration pack together with other designers which will be a default configuration pack for PGE. Now PGE haven't default configuration pack because exists content have lots of copyright data, like:
- characters (except talkhaus's Demo, Iris, Kood, Rao, Stealth which replaced Nintendo's)
- music (Can be replaced with CC-licensed alternates, or can be created with MIDI and tracker formats: PGE is support tracker musics playback, therefore possible to create NES/SNES-like tracker musics (with mod/it/xm, etc. formats) which will have better quality unlike compressed wavestreams like MP3/OGG and smaller size unlike uncompressed or losy-less compressed wavestreams like WAV/FLAC).
- sounds (Sound pack I was made own, and also Talkhaus have own sounds too)
- graphics: a lots of graphics was ripped from classic SNES games, and are copyrighted. Talkhaus partially replaced copyright graphics with own, but a lot of graphics still unchanged. Your graphic pack - is ultra-useful for PGE project designers which working with "PGE Default" package which will independent from copyrighted content!

What about packs with copyright content: they will be available optional and I will grand rights to another project which will hold that config packs for own fan-made projects like SMBX and later "SMBX Extended".

On Mario's left hand you forgot the black shading.

Looks awsome, guys! I like the hat's shape @ DarkShade's especially.

Wait, what, did you forget the feet? xD I was trying to model all the shading off of the "Mostly finished" Mario, and that included the feet too. Anyway, these look mostly good. If you two together think you have what it takes, then Absol-utely go for finishing it.

...lol I haven't done a Pokemon pun in so long, that one felt way too good
FanofSMBX wrote:On Mario's left hand you forgot the black shading.
I didn't forget about it. The outline is shaded, so when his hand collides with Mario's overalls, the hand needs to be visible. The dark outline makes this distinction perfectly, IMO.

I should be able to get it done, yeah. :)
As for the shoes, I'm leaving the regular shading for now for personal preference. I might change it later depending on how everything looks.

I wonder if we get some extended stuff on this since some tilesets don't have slopes in them like the smb1 overworld one.

First of all, this must have taken you a VERY long time, and I'm very impressed. The graphics are beautiful, and have an amazing palette.
However, I just noticed that the SMB3 cave has cutoff on the 64x32 slopes. Or is it the 32x64 slopes? I can't remember which is proper.
