While I am Christian, I completely agree with you. Strict Christians are anti-gay (or is it a sub-division?) because they believe a man has to love a woman. Nobody else! I believe people should choose their partners (I am straight, btw. Wait, does that mean gay people are "crooked"? When you think about it, that's insulting.), but I am against all people who flaunt their gender or preference of partner to people. It's completely annoying. I don't believe all homosexuals do that, but I have seen people do that on reality TV.
Wait what do you mean by "flaunt"? Kissing and holding hands in public? Because straight people do that all the time, but gay people get called out for it.

Well there's a fine line between flaunting and expression that comes naturally. Depending where that line is, yeah, I do take some issue with it because when somebody's personality is so linked with their sex life they're not usually someone I like to be around.

But it's not the same thing that happens with some heterosexual couples? It's not different because of the gender. In my country, for example, the guards can prevent heterosexual couples to do this in public, but if they try to do this with gay couples, they will say: "That's prejudice". Of course, it is not the largest number of couples who do this. But here we have a series of assholes laws who privileges the guy/girl if he/she is gay. The society have a lot of prejudice, but I don't think this laws are fair. We should all be treated as equals. But the minorities are receiving stupid privileges just because of their sexual orientation. It's not right, in my opinion.

Also, I enjoy lesbian porn. I really do.

Was this really fucking necessary at all? And if I remember correctly weren't you the one saying how "gays are useless"? Nice double standard.

I don't mind it so much if homosexuals just kiss or hold hands or something (it makes me uncomfortable seeing that, but I don't care all the much), but when they go overboard with the relationship, such as continuously kissing in public, that just pisses me off when either kind of couple do it. A simple kiss should suffice, don't you agree? Or if it is done to make people around them feel uncomfortable, that's also annoying.
But if (I'm assuming) you're for equal rights and homosexuality... shouldn't they have the freedom to express themselves as heterosexual people do?
You've gotta remember how people express themselves in public is tied to their personality. Passionate people may express themselves more because some people love to express it physically as it's one of the easiest and meaningful ways to demonstrate love. On this note, I knew a straight couple who figuratively couldn't keep their hands off each other for more than 5 seconds and a gay couple who rarely expressed any sort of affection other than holding hands, hugging or a kiss on the cheek. Could this be fear of prejudice or being told by others that they're "flaunting their sexuality" too much? Maybe. Or maybe it's because both couples had completely different personalities. You can't change people or tell anyone they can't express themselves (even if it is very, uh, exaggerated) because otherwise it just makes you look like an asshole.

I'm super sorry to hear this, man. But I really have to just say that it really DOES get better. Keep going! <3

OK, so in regards to the original question this topic asked, no I don't think there's any difference between lesbians and gays aside from their gender. It's absolutely the same concept and behavior and the difference is how they're treated in popular culture is probably based on misogyny.

I would advise against any use of the word "feminazi", even to describe the nutty and ironically hateful Tumblr-type "feminist" folks. In case you didn't know, the term was invented by Rush Limbaugh, who is himself a nutty anti-gay rights, anti-legitimate feminism kind of guy who has a radio show in the US. While I agree with your overall sentiment, the term feminazis is probably not the best one to use in a pro-legitimate feminism, pro-gay rights sense. It also semi-invokes Godwin's Law of course, which should generally be avoided.

SnifitGuy, if you truly support equal rights for gay people, then yeah as Beyond and Panda said public displays of affection should be treated equally for both gay and straight couples… I must point out, though, you did say basically that "going overboard" with kissing disturbed you whether it was a gayu or straight couple. In that case, I don't see any issue, as long as you treat both couples the same.
