That's the way nsmb with the installation of SMBX2 PAL

Here are the NSMBDS for those who already have SMBX (But Starman music will be standard (from SMW))

Better question, have you done more than just gauging this episode into an installation of SMBX2PAL? Don't you know that the format of level files is now .lvlx, not .lvl, and that release of episodes under PAL is still discouraged?

So you put NSMB form Beta 3 into pal? You have to edit the levels themselves, or it wont work properly. Plus you didn't ask for permission for this, you only wanted to make a video about the game, which is fine.

Plus you included an episode version, which I patched out because the loading times would take to long, and other scripting reasons. Why'd you do it? I would've been inferior.

If you wanted a version on Beta 4, you should wait until the full version comes out and I make it. For future reference if people want to use this episode for assets and stuff, as long as credit is used I'll be fine with it. And if you want your own version of this episode, PM me first and we'll talk about it please.

Version 1.3 is out, the main change is that pretty crappy bosses are redesigned. Petey Piranha is now fightable for example. See the Update Changes for more details.

1.4's on one side and 2.0's on the other are still completely incompatible, like fire and water.

There's been news that 1.4.5 levels could at least be opened in SMBX2PAL as a .lvlx file (the 38A-exclusive stuff still doesn't work), while in earlier versions PGE used to crash, but the converse certainly doesn't hold (and almost certainly never will).

I'm not planning to add reserved power-ups.
I want to make this similar to the All Stars games, which is why wall jumping, ground pounding, etc was removed.

Will you at least eventually make this a normal world folder instead of a separate build?

I forgot that it can't be put into worlds and I faced the consequences lol (I have to re-do World 1)

what's the big deal? many other episodes such as LC and LKoH use it's own smbx due to custom sounds, graphics etc. is it really that hard to just extract it somewhere and run the smbx exe?

It is not, but it's been said that you don't even have to in SMBX2.

(granted, normally I would not overlook that warning sentence in the OP, but when installing a new version I did).

The starting point in 4-Castle is placed directly in front of the boss. The battle also sucks, the room is filled with goombas way too quickly.

EDIT JUL 30: I did that boss with an ice flower now, however 5-Castle ended straight with a softlock.

Did you go down the Pipe where the vertical piranha is?
I apologize that it wasn't obvious enough. It is fixed in 1.3.1

I expected an SMB3 '?' ball as usual and I also found one when looking in the editor. So I just made it visible and moved on. Thanks anyway.

EDIT: I ended up finishing with 77 stars, and I swear I got all star coins in every level. In 5-Tower there were no star coins at all. Where could I have missed stars?

The only star that isn't obtainable is the 5-Tower. Other than that, every other star is obtainable in the recent release. The Max stars there is is 80 stars.
