Do you have kids? I do and I can tell you 100% you are wrong. I am a step dad and I gave a 15 year old in foster care who destroys thousands of dollars worth of stuff when she gets angry. A 9 year old is capable of anything. Trust me.

This was just meme talk from TheLordKhon, referencing when Knux deleted all posts on this forums just two weeks after it opened (which is why you won't find any posts from 2013).

Also the whole age vs. maturity issue has been widely discussed further in a different thread, with the clear consensus of the community being about what you just wrote yourself.
even then though, i was 17 at the time? too immature lol
Does not back up your point that age has a direct correlation with maturity.

In a way it does, I still hold the firm belief that the age category is too young and immature

Jesus, what happened to this place?
I remember spending quite some time in SMBX and even though I kept my distance from the community for the most part (a large part of it rubbed me the wrong way).
I know people move on, but I didn't expect to practically not recognise anyone anymore.

I agree on the transparacy thing, if there's anything I've learned is that communication is key. If stuff is discussed in private, it should always be proposed in advance for feedback, it's easy to forget or assume other people's perspectives.

And I also disagree with the age thing, but for different reasons.
People mature through experience, not through age. The best way to get experience is to do stuff. It's a good idea to promote younger people if they show the potential, they just have to be supervised more.
Else... how will they ever learn to correctly act like a person with authority?

yeah you've been away for 1 1/2 years ... there has been quite a change of generations in the meantime.

I had forgotten SMBX for a while now, but is good to see that is still alive...
Things really changed here.

Thanks for owning up to your mistakes.

We all want to throw in the towel at times - it's natural!

JUST DON'T DO IT AGAIN!

The announcement will remain for a little while longer so that people that visit infrequently will know what's going on.
