I'll say this again because I don't think discussing serious matters over IRC always works. For starters, try "borrowing" ideas from other artists. Despite what some people say, plagiarism isn't that big a deal when it comes to a simple webcomic, just as long as it isn't blatantly obvious. Led Zeppelin (i know they are a band and not a comic series) "borrowed" a lot of blues riffs and they are one of the biggest bands on the planet.

When it comes to making The Adventures of Knux, I try to focus mostly on my own ideas, but I parody a lot of things. Parodying is perfectly fine, as long as its something everyone is familiar with. For example, I parodied the Paper Mario series in The Legendary Emrals, and that is regarded as one of the best AOK serials of all time. However, when I decided to parody Red Dwarf with SMBX 4014, only one person understood the references I was making. Yet, somehow, it was still funny to those who hadn't even seen them?
Take Family Guy's Star Wars parody for example. That is funny even to those who haven't seen George Lucas' films. So my advice here is to try and make a parody of something we're all familiar with (maybe an Ocarina of Time parody?), and still make it funny to those who haven't even heard of the Zelda series.

Another thing you should acknowledge is that your humour should evolve over-time. TAOK started out as utter nonsense. While it still is a bit nonsensical at times, it's still funny because new jokes and gimmicks are being added all the time. I recently did the Sammy joke, which lasted for a couple of episodes, and now he hardly appears, because it's no longer funny. It was funny the first couple of times, but things get old, and you have to start looking for new ways to make your audience chuckle.

TIAOH does have the good occasional episode, but recent ones such as TV is Stupid just suck. A good question to ask is "what's the joke here?" but an even better one would be "why am I asking what the joke means?". I have a feeling there may be some sort of inside joke here, or some reaction image here. That doesn't work, trust me.
Of course, that is hypocritical of me to say because when it comes to TAOK, Valtteri tends to make episodes which focus largely on inside jokes, and then nobody but him and some other user understand them.

Just remember that although a comic may be funny and understandable to you, doesn't mean other users see it the same way. Make the point of the overall joke more obvious, but still somewhat subtle.
Kinda like the Simpsons do. Watch a couple of episodes before making more episodes. In your recent episode, Serious Hawkeye, I don't get it.
The point I'm trying to make here is that nobody gets the joke.

You should also try reading some more Calvin & Hobbes books more.

Hawkeye, another thing you could do is show your plan or sketch for the comic to some people so they can tell you whether it's funny or not. That way they can suggest improvements or point out things that would just get you criticism from users both on here and your forums. It DOES help. I even get others to suggest the plot of the comic for me to draw, because I know that if I made up the plot myself, it wouldn't be funny. It doesn't hurt to listen to others, man.

Another problem is the speech boxes and the space between each panel. The speech boxes are so consuming. They take up a lot of space in your comic so it just throws the composition of the panel off entirely. I know you say "I change it if I don't think it looks good", but often your own opinion isn't one that counts on how other people will perceive things. Fr example, you can look at a tree and tell other that you think it's a dog, but they know it's a god damn tree. Do you see my point?
Having too much speech isn't a good idea too since comics are supposed to be easy to read, not a story. Generally, you can split up a speech into more panels to show more emotion, which is the better option.
About the paneling, I don't think you put any space between them except a thick black line, do you? (I can't check right now). That also throws off a lot of composition and makes it seem super cramped. You're placing panels so close together that we can't separate the images from each other. That's just how it is, and most often the "I think it's okay" argument doesn't work against a bunch of people who disagree.

It's also ideal to stick to ONE plot in the strip you're doing. I've read some of your comics and they just... don't make any sense. The plot is all over the place and characters are sometimes introduced who don't really advance the comic. The reason TAOK has improved a lot over time because the plot makes much more sense now than it did, say, Compare Season 1 — 3 and Season 7 and see which you like better. On that note, since I joined the community Knux has realised some people may not understand certain jokes, so he's changed it so that people will still be able to find the comics funny. An example of this is the episode with bossedit8 and the sugar. I don't remember the name.

Sorry for writing a shit ton, but that's pretty much why you're getting criticism, and you're LUCKY to get suggestions on how to improve. Don't take it for granted and shrug it off with an attitude like you have recently.
