Glad to know that! The next demo will have The Moon with some minor tweaks to be a bit more accurate to the original game(s).

Thanks for this project btw. It's been a while since I've seen a really unique episode idea.

It might be a unique idea but what matters the most is the execution, i too had a project with great ideas but terrible execution, good thing i cancelled it.

That's actually one thing that I fear...

Just practice, learn how to use your tools correctly and try to get as much feedback as possible as it will allow you to know if you are on the right track or not, it might be hard at first to execute it well but mistakes are there so you can learn from them and also learn how to avoid them, as long as you are passionate or you believe you can do this, then nothing will stop you from making decent or even a great execution, believe in yourself and never give up!

Thank you for the kind words, Eri7 (and sorry for the late reply).

Now it's time for an update.
The 3rd demo was almost ready for release, but it had to be delayed (you might understand why during the release day).
In the meantime, here are some Donald Duck sprites that will be used in place of Toad (unless Donald replaces Wario and Daisy replaces Toad I still need to think; That has been the new objective).
Normal (or super form): Image
Fire: Image
Hammer (based on Donalds appearence from the comics): Image
Ice (based on Donald's early cartoons): Image

That's all for now! See ya real soon! ;)

So, I will be hosting 2 new contests on my Discord server (https://discord.gg/4hYwk2k):
- One contest is a fan-art contest. You can make a 2D drawing or 3D render according to the theme. The only rule is that at least one character of the game's cast has to appear.
- The other one will be an SMBX Level contest. Make your own level based on the given theme. Just don't make it based around glitches and bugs. Use only the NPCs that are 100% functional (in other words, it has to be compatible with the MaGLX3 version of SMBX2); The winning levels will have a chance to be featured on the episode.
The contests will start today and you have 15 days for the deadline (that is, if you are really interested; you don't have to).
Good luck!

Regarding Eri7's point and the fears you may have about the project, I think the right way to execute a unique idea is to not focus too much on just that one idea. What I mean is, focus on the best level design you can, you want it to be fun and playable over other things when it comes down to it. Think of it as a cake, the level design and playability is the sponge and cake mixture, the unique idea is the icing and decorations. Still try to work level design as a main thing, and weave the idea around this. Hope it helps! :D

So, despite not fully done in terms of custom sprites, I will release the third demo anyway.
Get ready to play as Goofy in "Clock Cleaners" and fight against Capt'n Pete and his crew on August 15th, 2019.

I played the demo, and I have a bit of criticism. On the S.S Wille stage, I thought it was a little strange that you went to different sections via pipe warp. Also, I think Scrooge's death effect and the starman music is way too loud. But it was a charming level and I really liked the graphics and overall feel of the level. But for some reason, part of it didn't work for me, I got stuck at the red coin part.
The Moon level was really fun, I liked how you started on the moon and went into the ship.
I also liked all the little easter eggs you put in, like Popeye and Marvin and Daffy Duck.
Well done so far!

The 3rd demo is out: https://mega.nz/#!cdgDzQqB!yS6RmfmFcOs7 ... TMDRUGGbLw
As always, you can find inside the folder a .txt file with the full credits.
Note: It requires the latest SMBX2, in this case, PAL version).

I'm sorry to inform you, but this project is on hiatus due to my schedule.
College didn't allow me to continue with my project as I wanted.
Development has been slow since I'm the only one behind all this at the moment (the person who was writing the scripts is now offline most of the times). I just implemented Oswald's Super Form and some custom NPCs from the community that I wanted to change the sprites.
For now, the project will be on an undetermined hiatus until I can continue with the project.
