Also, why didn't I get a moon when collecting all red coins in the twin peak section?
Alright thanks for the info, I'll have to take a look at that.
You do get a moon for the red coins, when you collect them all, a red door spawns next to the boss door. I think you probably went through the door without realizing that it's the red coin moon.
TheNewGuy wrote: Edit: I found out the village has only 10 moons instead of 13.
And when you exit the level it shows 13/13.
The total moon count should be 115 instead of 112.
Uh? No I'm pretty sure there are 13 moons in Blossom Island. They're all listed in the Moon List.

Some of the most fun I've had on a SMBX project. Just one complaint: Whenever you collect a moon, it should tell you the name of the moon. Now, THAT, would be awsome

What do you mean? How would it be done?

This can be done easily with events or with some coding knowledge, Lunalua. The latter is faster though.
Easily just set a event message after the Star is collected(killed), telling you the name of the moon, you just collected.

I beat the boss of the second area, and the game won't let me progress any further. The pipe doesn't say anything about a star count, am I missing something?

The only star you need is the one you get right after fighting the boss. Unless you skipped that one for some reason, I honestly don't know what you're missing.

I got the star and the pipe didn't unlock

Strange. I was using 1.1 and it was all fine.

The vine leads to the second area, beating the second area did nothing.

The vine grows further after every boss allowing you to access the next level. There are no locked pipes. If the vine didn't grow after the second boss then something isn't right.

Edit: I just re-tested it and it works just fine. Are you sure you didn't just overlook the vine growing again?

I'll have to check again, thanks for the help.

Hello,

Your episode is awesome: it was fluid, so much entertaining and not frustrating at all (the difficulty is very well dosed with slight increase as you progress in the episode)! One of the best if I dare say :)
You really gave like this Mario Odyssey feel you wanted to make with moons easily obtainable either if it was small challenges in a separate map (through red pipes) or if it was to reach specific places in the main map (perhaps sorry for my English as I am Belgian).
Spoiler: show
I was totally addicted to achieve the two big challenges of your episode in the neon world. Know that I have just beaten your record of the speed challenge! I have reached the end like 3 or 4 bloc [?] size after the rightmost one :D But I did not record it (maybe I can send you a picture to show you, which implies to do it again XD) but I swear you it's true and thus possible to reach farther than your best score!
Anyway, the very end gave me chills: this was so intense and I barely have not seen something like this before, bravo!

The only bad point I would mention is that it was too short, which is a normal feeling as you would have more for a such fun episode. I hope you maybe will gave another one in the same style, longer as well as more diverse than this one. Take your time of course!

Thanks a lot. Feedback like this makes me really happy. I was afraid I went overboard with the ending, but I'm glad people liked it.

No, I believe you. Congrats! Considering that I didn't even beat it, I'm sure that took a long time...

I'll consider it if I make another episode. But I might want to to do another more "normal" episode too. We'll see. Actually I would kind of be interested to see someone else try this style of episode.

Thank you! I took some time but I have progressively discovered new tricks in order to keep running as much as possible until the end. After that, I just had to execute :) I don't know if you're gonna overcome your score knowing I did a greater one (it could be fun for you).

Well that was just an idea among others but whatever your future piece will be, I'll take it with pleasure!

Okay I actually got back to it and (after many tries...) managed to beat it myself, I don't know by how many blocks exactly, but I'm guessing maybe three? It really is all about running through without ever slowing down. I think I always slowed down a little bit during the part with the moving platform. I don't think I'll update the episode for it though. But now I can confirm it's beatable!

On an unrelated note this episode has almost 300 Downloads on Mediafire (I don't know how to check that on Dropbox) after a little over a month. For this being my first released episode, those numbers are pretty incredible. Also the general consensus is really good too. All in all I'm very satisfied with this.
...though I wonder how different these numbers would have been if I didn't put "Odyssey" in the topic title

I took a bit of a break of SMBX in March, now I'm starting to get back into it. As of now the error is not fixed.

I figured out why I never saw it though, it's because the error only happens when you play the episode in SMBX 2.0. I didn't have 2.0 back when I released it (I only downloaded 2.0 recently) so I never saw it. It shouldn't be too hard to fix now.
