I really agree! It's something everyone needs to take in for a second and keep in mind when you are creating a stage!

I have a very good idea for a level design!
L A V A L E V E L S W I T H Z I G - Z A G S W I T H S P I K E S A R R A N G E D S T R A G E T I C A L L Y makes it more challenging i guess

(but not badly arranged otherwise it'll be (almost) impossible >_>
And some NPS's here and there would help

um why, take WerewolfGD's Wolfcano Ruins from one of his LCJ entries, isn't that like I said?
(i think that is an already-used idea lol)

I don't wanna suggest unstickying this thread, seems unnecessary considering advices here may actually be useful.
However I'm not sure if the title (which is from 8 years ago at this point), trying to present itself as factual, is good as is. Something that more specifically describes the OP is I think desirable. An example I thought of is "How Nintendo designed parts of 2D Mario"
