Send me one or two levels in a PM as an application. If your levels are good enough, you'll be in.

Yoshi is adorable, as we all know, and so is this project. I see you have really big dreams for the outcome of this project, but right now, I don't think that your levels look, uh... flashy enough? Basically this is the general "U MUST USE LOTS OF CGFX" rule that tends to get people support because of how good it looks, and as the actual meat and potatoes of this project look right now, I don't think you can actually do this yet. I think that you should take a little break from this to observe the Levels forum, to play other "great" levels, and to see if you can find a trend to follow with some of the graphics.
TL;DR, I like the backbone of this project, but it needs more flair.

Thanks for your feedback, and sorry for the late reply. Yeah, I know about this... When I started the project, like, two or three years ago, I had nearly no experience with the level editor whatsoever. Even though this is a project I rather maintain for fun than for making a project that's gonna beat, let's say, SMSE or the SMB3 remake in terms of awesomeness, not even I am quite happy nowadays with how the levels came out back then. They're too short and quite boring as well. I'm thinking of either improving them or just completely re-making them.
(I myself don't use a lot of custom GFX, by the way, one of my level designers does, and I don't think his levels are that bad.)
My inspiration comes mostly from other Mario games (like SM3DW or NSMB) or SMW hacks. And I sorta am on a break, actually, since I'm not working on YP levels right now. I see myself in a phase of idea collection right now, but I will come back to this project. No matter what other people say.

Of course you can!

You can show your support by putting the support banner (see the first post) into your signature, or by spreading the word!
I do hope I can beta test!
Ok, you're in!

If you want, you can do that, yeah. Then I'll make a new category for gameplay recorders in the first post. I guess Bossedit is busy enough already.

Yeah, I guess you could do that.
...wait... you can't edit videos? You don't have Windows Movie Maker at least? Mac and Linux should have video editing programs available, too...

Could you add some backgrounds to the black background levels. And maybe soften up on the bunches of power ups and veggies in the item room looking place. That is all. Good luck!
