I've now checked this and it would appear that you're wrong. In lava cave levels, the same lava splash effect is used as in castle levels. Speaking of loyalty to SMW, I noticed that regular Dry Bones cliff turn, I got that right, but those who throw bones don't; they fall off ledges. Strange, isn't it. I'm currently working on an update for Return to Dinosaur Land that fixes this along with other things. I'm also planning to add Toad and
Peach Daisy as playable characters, and all doors should have opening animation, which is a neat detail.

I think it looks fine. His mouth is a bit open after he fires, much like on Bowser.
