The official SMBX2 website seems to be down (503 Service Error) or something. What happened?
Maybe because what Cedur said previously, she has gone from the internet (I just guess)

Horikawa left long before this issue started.

Please read back through the topic and you'll see that this issue has been addressed countless times

Is there another site the blog is being continued on? Or even a plan to fix the old one?

Have you tried all browsers?

When the website comes back we'll make sure to inform you. We're looking for a solution that hopefully prevents repeats. Repeatedly asking about when we're done fixing it is the equivalent of asking "when are we there?" on car rides.

It's fine, I get people asking about this issue on my non-smbx related youtube videos every day too, so this is technically nothing :p

Welcome. If you want to check every day for progress and happenings then you should go to the discord servers, especially codehaus.

no

there's a full pack of almost entirely original assets to use instead of all of the Mario assets for SMBX if a situation such as this were to occur.

why would you be supposed to change controls in the editor? In LunaTester your controls from the game are automatically adapted?

If you're using LunaTester, your controls should adjust to what they should be in the main game. If you want to change the main game controls, get to the main menu (where it has the sunset background) and go to Options. Don't use PGE Tester, that is fundamentally broken at the moment.

In this video the snifit shots rack up score until it starts giving 1ups. Was that intended?

i found a bug so here's a bug report. i call this bug the "null item" glitch because your character is trying to hold something that doesn't exist. here's the easiest two ways to execute this glitch:
1. play as zelda with an ice flower (or a second player that has an ice flower, but zelda needs to be able to save her location)
2. freeze an enemy and hold it
3. press altrun to save zelda's stats (while zelda is still holding the enemy)
4. despawn the frozen enemy (easiest way is to let go of it and let it hit a wall)
5. hold the run button after the enemy despawns
6. press altrun while still holding the run button to load zelda's stats
or, do this instead:
1. play as zelda with an ice flower (or a second player that has an ice flower, but zelda needs to be able to save her location)
2. freeze an enemy and hold it
3. press altrun to save zelda's stats (while zelda is still holding the enemy)
4. set down the frozen enemy
5. hold the run button and then press altrun
6. if the enemy is in zelda's hands, you did it correctly, now hold up and jump or despawn the enemy without releasing the run button
when you do either of these correctly then you will have a random npc, except it's not random since it's the last npc that spawned. if it can move, it acts as if it is on the ground (despite being in your hand) and when it dies and you haven't let go of the run button then another enemy takes its place. the glitch ends when you release the run button.
edit: also works with other carryables such as vegetables.
edit 2:
examples: show
I try to use the first method, but I was unlucky and got nothing. You can see that zelda is holding a "null item" after the glitch was completed.
I use the second method, and spawned an npc.

This is funny; it can happen with every other character whenever you hold an item and an event occurs that hides the layer of said item. Does this also happen in 1.3.0.1?
