Thanks TheKingOfBoos and Enjl for the suggestions.
@Enjl: Windows and engines are a good idea. I think I'll add some more airship-like parts too it next. I could see this working in a city-like environment, but for now I don't think I'll do any construction-type pieces and just focus on airship elements. In the future I might consider that though. (Or maybe I'll have a semi - constructed airship in my episode now that you say that, but we'll see.)
@TheKingOfBoos: Hmmm. Haven't decided on a background yet. Since I'm planning on creating these airships as massive, monstrous machines, right now I'm just planning on adding window BGOs in the background as needed, in hopes of creating a larger, intimidating feel. Might darken the tileset a bit as well. What do you think? After all of this, I might end up making a background anyway.
I like the idea of just using window BGOs for the background. That would be awesome and very unique!

That's my goal/overall idea for my episode. Using underused/different ideas to create a different experience.
Here's a few of my ideas so far. I won't share all of them yet until I post the project:
- 4 legged Koopa Troopas and Paratroopas by Elbow (and my 4 legged Dry Bones)
- airships are not autoscroll, but instead are a more exploration based maze (inspired by bossedit8's Black Balance Block)
- the world map is almost like Pokémon but I'm not telling you how yet--make your own speculations for now

That's kinda the idea behind my episode too but you'll do it better. Good luck! Sounds cool!

Grayscale outlines are overrated.

Also, I have no idea how to do the slopes.

Certain other people who make graphics around here would do the same thing but with four times as many colours. Glad you're not doing that.

the graphic as a standalone is nice, but I can really picture some major clash if someone uses this.

I mean the same applies to most of your graphics. I personally see this going well with most grassland environments. Especially DarkYoshi's set will look nice.

God dammit, I can't stand how these backgrounds have to load seperately, seriously, WHY?
Edit: Got it working with the SMB1 desert.

It's too large to fit without half the screen being dark purple.

Well you can resize 2-12 to a minimum of 800x600 pixels. And your previous image already has half the screen painted in a single colour.

It would have been far worse if I didn't go the direction I did, I'm not a graphical genius, I just like ripping stuff for SMBX. But I might try that idea.
