Aside from English I of course speak German as my native language. That's it
currently though I wouldn't be opposed to learn another language some day.
Wow. Didn't know you're also one of the many native germans in this community.

It's not easy to find out, though no Surprise. The only real hint for it would be
the orginal Mario Heroes 1, which I made in German.

Hey all. I didn't succeed in Heidelberg. The rejection message is quite dubious and says "for intern reasons". So maybe the PhD position wasn't really existent at all. As an external student you're always a tough act to follow against local students.

Nothing exciting is happening in my life. Just school which is, err... school.

On top of that, if I don't find a PhD supervision in Karlsruhe, I may just do a second master in Darmstadt with more focus on applications. The classical "pure", "pencil" mathematician is not really wanted in stochastics these days, it's all about data science

For this year, I have the goal of learning to play piano. Maybe Piano Tiles 2 motivated me a lot for it

Get ready I'm very nostalgic
- Back in summer 2016 when I started to play online Minecraft with school friends
- Last year, all of my SMBX experiences from January to August
- Years ago, when I used to spend a lot of time with near friends. Today we're only 3, which is sad, because most of them have started a new life in other country because of this one's situation.
- July 2018, it was a great month, I met a lot of family and friends who were far from me, and had my elementary school graduation. Also I got Mario Maker for 3DS, the game I always wanted
- The quiet days of January and February 2019, there was no school because of a political problem (that's why I was so active)
- (kinda) September and October 2019, when I was very into Undertale, even though I left it because of some webpages spreading disturbing information about it
- The whole year 2017, it was great
Next year I'm probably going to post another big list about 2020 lol

This is a funny one, a long time ago I used to think classical music was actually just any instrumental music

I'm taking lessons right now lol. It's pretty fun once you get the basics down.

I see, I know some basic stuff already but I also want to take lessons. Good luck btw

About 2 years ago, I saw a Street Fighter II longplay as Zangief, and thought the Russian President shown in Zangief's ending was Putin!

Had my first working day at my 3-month "research assistant" job. (I put it in quotes bc it's just annotating pictures for some AI projects)

Around 90 minutes ago, I got a call from a man whose house had an emergency leak. One problem...I think he dialed the area code incorrectly. If only someone from British Columbia was able to assist someone in Georgia when their house is leaking.
I couldn't even talk to him because I was at work, and on top of that my job is at a contact center, where any contact I make with the outside world has to be related to that business. It also sounded like he was using a land-line phone, so I wouldn't have been able to text either.

Me? I started editing episode 4 of my let's play of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins on my phone.
I'm currently thinking of talking about the complaints of Byleth in SSBU in the episode, should I include it?

So I've got a couple of future outlooks that I could potentially fulfil.
I could apply at an insurance company, they look a lot for mathematicians, and I especially have a background in stochastics and theoretical financial mathematics.
There's also a junior professor of economics in Karlsruhe who offers a PhD position and also invited mathematicians to apply.
In any of these two cases I could also pursue an actuary education.
If I wanted to do a "normal" mathematical PhD in the area of stochastics, I need to apply for a position far away, in Hagen or Rostock, but I don't really want that to be necessary. (Hagen is at least close enough to return home on weekends)
