I've already ordered a different cable with the same Genesis connector. If this one doesn't work either, it's most likely a problem with the Genesis itself.
Success! The new connector works perfectly...and I'm either too slow at Sonic, or too fast to collect Chaos Emeralds. :x

But that aside, the Sega Genesis is now accessible on my TV.

Welcome back. Was there anything special about your absence?

Both of them from what I know have pretty much moved on in life.
PixelPest rarely comes and goes in the Talkhaus Discord server, but he's no longer active in the SMBX community. Valtteri however, seemed to have left 2 years ago.
Reasons why have been mentioned before, I can look for them if you'd like. :3

When did Pixelpest leave fully? I remember him stepping down as admin at the start of this year, but he was around for a while after that
Is he still involved in the development of SMBX2?

Replace "Talkhaus Discord server" with "Codehaus". And yeah, I don't get why he deliberately jacked it all in here but still sticks around at Codehaus.

I've been less active on the forums and with my own episode lately because I'm not as interested as I used to be. Anyone got any advice on how to stay motivated?

I'm also making animations in flash!
That sounds awesome! I didn't know people still made flash animations.

Eh not really. My project sucked any will I had left in me. I think I'll come back around when I get a new pc, just not making levels maybe?

Well, just do what you like best. I dropped my project, finally. Now I can fool around with GFX, make more levels for my level thread, since I'm not "forced" to, and post more.

If you hadn't noticed I left for a very long time since I lost will and interest, then after I came back, and left yet again. Cuz of my project.

So, deadlines/"responsibility"/projects drain you. I like the community here, and have good memories, so I won't throw it away for my own dead episode.

But hey, that's my take.

Added in 54 seconds:
Also I don't mean to tell you to drop your episode

I'm pretty sure that Valterri isn't around because he is in the military, but don't quote me on that. He might also have college or something, and is choosing not to focus on SMBX.

He is most likely still continuing on some SMBX2 development, but he mostly left SMBX in general.

Last 2 commits were in august 2019, logging 3 commits in total over the course of this year. Thanks for the reminder to redistribute their unfinished stuff to other people.
