I hope it's on topic here.
Finally we got new moderators what I like but we need an other admin because Quill and m4st4erbr0s aren't admins now and Valtteri has millitary stuff.
When I read the forums, most of the people would want GhostHawk as a new admin and I agree with them. I didn't see any mistakes (even smaller ones) from him and once he finishes VSMBX, since he's the creator.

An other idea: having moderators for the 'General' 'Help & Support' and 'Graphics' forum (in a common rank) with no moderating control over other forums. They would be same as Level Judges in Levels/Episodes/Projects or Game Masters in Forum Games/Mafia Subforum

Sorry if I was off topic.

It needs to be readable, proper English free from stupid and fixable mistakes.
That's ridiculous. Everyone makes mistakes.
What I meant was that people need to put effort into making their posts proper English, instead of just slapping down whatever comes to mind and not considering whether or not it actually looks good/right. I realize everyone makes mistakes. That's not the point.

You know, i have never felt so strange before. a feeling of sadness, anger and happyness mixed togheter...
but i also feel abandoned, rotting and useless on this forum. This feeling only comes when i come on the forums here. What is it worth if you feel like this. Well, i feel like a useless insect on this forum and i would like to talk about this. Please consider this as a issue and even so this problem needs to be fixed.

Like Sinem said, how are we supposed to fix the problem if you don't tell us what the problem is exactly?

I think you may like to be informed that NONE of the posts in the the graphics request board use the request form. well, technically one did, but that was mine so it doesn't count

I haven't past the Requests board in the last two days, so I'll see what going on there. If the request was originally published before the date the Request Form was put into place I gave a little lenience to since they are most likely already underway or have been fulfilled and it would be pointless to restructure the topic if that were the case. Anything after that date though should be using the request form to make the graphic designers' job easier and prevent useless posts such as "What style/size/spritesheet?" etc.

I feel that requiring a form for requests to be filled out with is a bit much. Absolutely none of the threads created since the rule was enforced have complied with the forms, sans the creator of the rule itself. Clearly, posters of requests seek to express their thoughts in prose instead, because it helps their requests to not seem too unreasonable. Actually, most if not all of the requests have the same content that the form would require.

I am pushing forward a request to remove the need for a rigid form, and rather have moderators check for missing information via a checklist of some kind. That way, none of the users feel violated because they are able to communicate comfortably while maintaining all the content required of them. This should also help that particular subforum to proceed without many locked topics, and thus feeling like an open pasture rather than a locked wasteland where seemingly no one is able to fulfill requests.

Now, before you shift the blame to the users for not being aware of the rules for the hundredth time (this seems to be a theme around here), I can sense a feeling of acknowledgement of the special rules, but a general dislike of its formality. If anyone who uses the requests forum is reading this plea, please testify.

I actually support this. As much as the enlisting of rules kind of gives us a guideline of what to work with, it's really restricting and not everyone reads them as much/often as they should. At this point they're there for absolutely no reason other than to act like the place is built formally.

It's not exactly a problem with the rules if people just ignore them and post as they please. Essentially the way the form works, is the same way a checklist would work for us to use.

In that case maybe we should tell Squishy to stop locking literally every topic that doesn't have that form specifically? Lel, I'm not judging since I know how he envisioned it and it's not exactly happening that way unfortunately.

Yeah, I'll admit it definitely isn't quite floating as well as I thought it would. Look, I'll happily take into consideration any ideas people may have towards this to make this work better than it has. Locking every topic that doesn't follow the new guideline and showing a link to the form is in a way replacing one of the original problems with another, or mainly swapping useless posts for ones that really should not be needed. My idea does have a flaw of sorts, but finding that would have only happened by testing it in the first place. Now it's been "tested" I see that it may be needed to be refined.

The only issue I have is with the recolor rule? Where is the line drawn? What about reshaded graphics like game boy graphics? What if it's a big tileset?
