"There's always next contest" isn't a good mindset in my perspective. If you want to get better at anything you have to keep working in between contests and explore many different techniques and seeing what other people think. Take this score and kick its ass by working hard.
I say there's always next contest mainly because i don't want to act like i'll never design a level that does well in a contest and won't ever have a chance to.
This was a fun ride. I am happy with placing 5th, since this is what I was going for besides trying to score above 80, but that almost happened anyway.
Also congratulations to Enjl!
Good contest guys and congratulation to Enjl! I'm Definitely taking my score for future reference and improvement, but speaking for the future...
I know this is still a bit early, but when is the next contest? Will it be before or after the episode releases?
Woah, when I saw my score I thought I was going to end in some low tiers with a low placement, but this didn't happen. I'm pretty satisfied with my 16th place and I really feel my level design skills are improved since the times of SCC.

I know that feeling and I also know it's pretty frustrating but hey, that's the skill of level designers, they are able to see the little details others don't see.
Thank you guys so much for being patient at waiting 5 days for the results and reading cool walls of text from judge experts, especally Pixel Pest, who got so many motivation by looking at bones for 1 hour every day.
I'm happy with my placement, of course, but I'm wracked with regret about the fact I completely overlooked how long it takes to beat the boss compared to others. 5-6 minutes if you know what you're doing, most others keep it under 2-3. Frustrating to put in all that testing to make sure everything works but still miss something that should be obvious.
I'm glad to see I still scored well despite the fact I didn't manage to finish the level I originally wanted to submit. Anyway, thanks to the judges for their feedback and congratulations to Enjl for winning!
I know could've tried a little harder by making my level longer and more challenging, and maybe I could've spent more than 22 minutes on the level. Plus, I was sick with strep throat and I had a cold and a cough, so I was probably a little too tired to make anything. Overall, I feel like it was my fault that I made a bad level through bad choice and laziness.
Well, the contest was fun atleast. I wish i could have submitted one of my better levels that i have made before rather than attempt to show everyone how a "good" fence setup could be.
If i didn't run out of time then yeah, would have been longer and better. I had a great idea in mind but putting it into practice proved to be much harder than i thought it would be.
Apparently we will be allowed to do more for this contest? I'd love to do that to be able to show how well i really can be with level design, so sign me up in advance
