I listen to a lot of old music from the 70s to the 90s. Stuff like Elton John, Genesis, Queen, Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater (though DT isn't as old as the other ones).
My likings float towards the more high-concept material, especially if it's a whole concept album. Maybe this is why I like Queen, Iron Maiden and Dream Theater so much (they do/did that a lot). The rest is more because of the music itself being a good listen.
Anyone listen to Parkway Drive's new album yet? I actually really like it. Yeah they might've moved away from traditional metalcore a bit but it's a fun catchy album with some great songs on it.

Too bad musicians performing after 1980 and before 2000 are irrelevant.
Although there is much diversity and ambiguity in its attitude and message, vaporwave sometimes serves as both a critique and a parody of consumerist society, '80s yuppie culture, and new-age music, while acoustically and aesthetically showcasing a curious nostalgic fascination with their artifacts. - Wikipedia
Has anyone else heard of this aesthetic/music genre? Does anyone actually enjoy this stuff non-ironically?
Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Prism Genesis came out in '11, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. She's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Ramona Andra Xavier has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor
Hey guys and gals of the SMBX community, what is your favourite modern song? When I say "Modern" I'll mean,say...after 2005!Most modern songs are absolute rubbish filled with Sex,Drugs, and a lot of other crap that makes them unenjoyable for a lot of people. My favourite modern song, without a doubt,is... "Hello" by Adele
Never heard of this, not even sure what it is,but I just started listening to "Ninur - You Can Play" and holy cow is it awesome!
Thanks for these Enjl,I'll have to listen to some more in my free time!
And I've decided to add you guy's songs to the Main Post.
