Yes, you need to use PGE Editor to put that NPC in a block, as IIRC the original SMBX Editor is too limited to make this possible.

Also good news: Wohlstand has figured out how to launch SMBX Test mode from PGE Editor! That means that SMBX 2.0 team can finally reject the original SMBX Editor from being included.
Thanks, pal this will be very useful...

Just out of curiosity, is there a mechanic for when making an episode you can determine whether lives are saved or set back to a certain number when you play the episode another time?
Like could you make an episode save lives like in the New Super Mario Bros Games or have it reset live total like in Super Mario 64?

I don't think there's one now but, you'll hear this a lot in the next little while: LunaLua.

We can't help you if you don't specify your problem.

Did you close your browser before extracting the files? [/endStupid answer]If that is not the case, a screenshot could make the situation clearer.

Is possible to include a Lunalua SMB1 Flagpole in the next release of SMBX 2.0?

There's an API for it already:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/111 ... %201.0.zip

It's a bit tough to work with however, and it's not the exact replica of SMB1's Flagpole.

---------------------------------------------

Also some suggestions: I think we should get rid of all the images in "graphics" folder that use GIF format, and instead put PNGs there. SMBX 1.4.1 uses PNG files for all its graphics by default, so it won't be hard to copy and paste the graphics from SMBX 1.4.1 to SMBX 2.0 (yes, SMBX 1.4.1 has vanilla SMBX graphics in PNGs, you don't have to convert them yourself). The thing is that PNGs take much less space than GIFs, it could help some people a lot by reducing the file size, and graphic designers to make maskless graphics.

Another thing I stated before, but the post about it got vanished because SMBX.org's server got damaged. Basically I talked about the Update window and how inconvenient it was. So when the window appeared, it showed a link, but you couldn't click on it nor you could copy and paste it in the URL bar. You basically had to write the link letter by letter, and that's very inconvenient imo. Maybe make it so the update thing will appear in a splash screen instead of the new window?

SMBX 2.0 will download with LunaLua pre-installed, so you will be able to make a flagpole in the same way that you are now.

Also good to see you here migueeel.

Nope! It's deprecated completely now mwahahahahahahaha. We used magic. The next beta release won't have the legacy editor visible by default (you'll still be able to use it via some mechanism that I haven't got figured out completely yet).
So if we've mainly been using the legacy editor, does this mean we have to adjust to Lunalua and PGE or will they molded to be more like the legacy editor?

PGE Editor already has SMBX-like GUI, just goto "Help" -> "SMBX-Like GUI", or I will ask which UI user wihs on first launch

Wohlstand, the PGE Editor works on my PC, but when i open PGE Engine i get an error message saying GPL 3.x is not supported is because PGE is licensed under GPL v3, so if a method of to enter the legacy editor is still present on the next to the final release, my PC doesn't support PGE Engine because, my PC is old en is not licensed under GPL v3 or later i need to wait to get a newer Pand maybe might support PGE Engine i just need to check my video card if it has the mininum requirements needed in my new PC, but the PGE Editor works fine, the only thing i do is to enter the legacy editor and test a finished level there, very good PGE Editor you made Wohlstand!

GPL 3.x is not supported
You just told a nonsense
Look carefully: Message was "OpenGL 3.x is not supported", OpenGL - graphical API provided by your video driver and provided by your video card.
OpenGL is a cross-platform hardware graphics acceleration API. PGE Engine uses it to draw everything quick and smooth. This message means that your video card too old (For example, ATI Radeon 9200 with 128 MB RAM and with GPU which doesn't supports non-power-of-two textures) and PGE Engine failed to initialize OpenGL interface. Also this message would be caused because you have no installed video driver (for example, you just installed Windows from scratch and wasn't installed video driver), so, you should goto NVidia (or to AMD) site and download latest driver and install it. Anyway those error messages are temporary, because I going to provide support of multiple render API's to allow: software render for cases where impossible to use OpenGL (too old or is not presented), and modern OpenGL 3 and even 4 to provide support of everything include shaders to manipulate with colours and other stuff much faster. For example, LunaLUA toggles back a software render if OpenGL initialization is failed.

SMBX 2.0 is the next version of SMBX, coming after 1.3.0.1. Anything else is not supported.
