Will it be possible to play 1.3 levels in 2.0 beta 4?
Since a lot of 1.3 blocks changed their look.

A few, and their looks barely changed.TheNewGuy wrote:Will it be possible to play 1.3 levels in 2.0 beta 4?

I know about the batch converter, it makes things a breeze to convert and makes simple editing easier as well. I was mostly saying that because in the last blog post it said masks were being altered.Enjl wrote:PNG graphics are mostly supported in Beta 3. There's a bug with overworld level files and background2 files, so keep those as GIF files for now. Aside from that, though, PNG files give you proper transparency and less files, so no reason not to use them! Quick tip: Tools -> External Tools -> GIFsToPNG lets you mass-convert all gif files in your entire episode folder.
It also said that the only instance where this will actually affect something is when someone used custom gifs and didn't copy the mask over as well.Artemis009 wrote:I know about the batch converter, it makes things a breeze to convert and makes simple editing easier as well. I'm not aware of any input latency issues in B3.Taycamgame wrote:Oh btw, the loading times are much shorter now as we know. But what about lag; will the amount of lag experienced lower aswell?
Battle mode returns after 2 player mode returns to full functionality. Probably beta 5, maybe afterward.Grand Goomba wrote:I'm curious, after Beta 4 will Battle Levels become popular again? It would be nice if the old Battle Levels were actually inside, and even nicer if others made newer Battle Levels with the new Beta 4 graphics. Surely the Battle Levels aren't gone for good, are they?
It never worked. What makes you think this would work? There is no npc code for it.Artemis009 wrote:Changing health values in NPC configurations isn't changing anything, is it supposed to? I'm trying to make a custom boss, and while fun I feel it takes far too long to beat.
Using the in game npc configuration editor, it gives you the option to change health values. Why does this exist if it has no functionality?Enjl wrote:Battle mode returns after 2 player mode returns to full functionality. It might have functionality for 38A or the PGE Engine in the future, but yeah. Not in SMBX2. NPC configuration, as far as I know, only has the values in this thread:Artemis009 wrote:Using the in game npc configuration editor, it gives you the option to change health values. I'm glad that Enjl stepped up at a time when it seems like SMBX2 had no activity. Enjl has been making several blog posts and has been responding to a lot of posts here. Enjl is doing a great job of keeping this project alive.Amyrakunejo wrote:I'm just glad this isn't a Unity project since Unity dropped DX9 support...
I think the Unity engine is great but not having integrated support makes it real tough to do much with, whether as a lead dev or tester or even an end user...
Well i'm sure Red is doing a great job and I appreciate everything Red does for the project.Enjl wrote:Honestly Rednaxela is doing the most work on the project currently. I'm just the PR guy.
When I read this post I initially thought you meant “Redigit”.Teemster2 wrote:Well i'm sure Red is doing a great job and I appreciate everything Red does for the project.Enjl wrote:Honestly Rednaxela is doing the most work on the project currently. I'm just the PR guy.
