For a game editor, having European and Canadian French separate is pretty trivial. The dialects are extremely similar

Asked for EUROPEAN PORTUGUESE.
Asked for CANADIAN FRENCH.

Actually, Native and Canadian French have enough dissimilarities that speaking Canadian French in La Sarthe or speaking Native French in Toronto might get you some funny looks.
However, Native vs. South American Portuguese is like comparing an apple to a baseball. Fundamentally, they're completely different, giving some exceptions to some parts of South America using a combined dialect, which doesn't sound too dissimilar from the Native dialect and was used in the 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro.
Spanish is very different in the four main global regions that speak it. Native Spanish is much closer to Latin than in North or South America. The small region in southern Asia that also speaks a variant of Spanish has a Cantonese adaptation from what I understand.

Yes there are some significant differences in terms of Canadian French being less English-influenced and having a few different sayings, etc. due to the culture, however if you can read one French dialect, you can understand them all, at least in the context of an editor, since they're similar enough besides a few colloquialisms

Oh well, because in Super Mario, some things don't have the same name, exemple: Dry Bone, in French it's Skelerex, in Canadian French it's Skelex. Well thanks anyway...

Because, if you want me to translate in French normal, It's gonna be a bit hard for me, because I don't know what to write. Even the expression and the differences words. My friends would like in Canadian French since I live in Montreal at Canada. Anyway, if you change your mind, it'll be my pleasure. So we can improving SMBX.

Can anyone actually help to translate PGE? Because if you can, it would be cool to see more languages.

I created those files as are was some people wished to translated into those languages, but wasn't began their work, so, everyone can took the translation file and provide support for a new language. Currently supported COMPLETED languages are English, Russian, German (outdated, contains new untranslated strings), Spanish, Portuguese (outdated), Italian, and Polish on Editor side, and English, Russian, Dutch and Spanish on Engine side.

Google Translate is only as good as the community allows it to be.
Translating from most Latin-based languages or from English to these languages is fairly accurate, but it isn't perfect.
Step into the realm of most languages based in Arabic or in pictographic syllables, then that's where Google Translate gets really fucky.
Cantonese
Japanese
Korean
Tagalog
Vietnamese
Those five languages, good luck with those and Google Translate.

Yeah whatever you do, please don't use Google Translate for editor translations. If you'd like to do one, only do so if you're fluent in the language

I’ve always been patient but these loading speeds are looking awesome!

Internal tests are showing that improvements are especially big on subpar hardware.

If we convert all our graphics to PNG's before the next beta, nothing should break, right?

PNG graphics are mostly supported in Beta 3. There's a bug with overworld level files and background2 files, so keep those as GIF files for now. Aside from that, though, PNG files give you proper transparency and less files, so no reason not to use them! Aside from those 2 bugs I mentioned.
Quick tip: Tools -> External Tools -> GIFsToPNG lets you mass-convert all gif files in your entire episode folder.
