Nope, it's from a little game called Congo's Caper aka Tatakae Genshijin 2: Rookie no Bōken on the SNESS.
I would think people would of recognized that >_<
Congo's Caper, known in Japan as Tatakae Genshijin 2: Rookie no Bōken (戦え原始人2 ルーキーの冒険 Tatakae Genshijin 2: Rūkī no Bōken?) (which makes it a sequel for Joe & Mac), is a Super Nintendo/Super Famicom video game by Data East. Data East followed this game with Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics.
The protagonist Congo searches for the kidnapped Congette. He is a "superkid," a monkey turned into a half-human. Getting hit will turn the player back into a monkey. Collecting three rubies will turn the player into Super Congo who has special powers.
And for reference.

Title Screen

From an actual level.

Never heard about that game before and I'm digging its graphic style either.

After 4 years I decided to create a world map in a first time. The result is strange, I made an underwater map with reghrhre's tileset and Sednaiur's columns:

That's something amazing. I like that underwater world map. Those 1x1 fishes that are far away are ok, but there are way too many 1x1 things.
Also, dat intro. Did you make that outside the background where it glitches?

I just deleted the folder "background2" to see what will happen and that happened!
And I'll fix 1x1 things.
EDIT: I fixed everything, screens will be updated tomorrow

Maybe that tileset looks like it's from SMB, but I used it from reghrhre's project LFFTMK, because I throught it looks very fitting for an underwater world map.

I think he meant the world map border which btw, looks very nice.

It was posted a few years ago at NSMBX forums, so I liked it and downloaded. It was made with extractor, or something like this
