I picked a Bulbasaur. Now, it's a kickass level 85 Venusaur. xD

On X and Y,I never allow my gen 1 starters to evolve.
My Charamander and Bulbasaur are too cute to evolve!
(BTW there both level 100 FES!)

My combo? Froakie + Bulbasaur, now both Lv. 100 at their final stages. I didn't pick Charmander because I already had Torchic from the event, but I only realised after a load of Wi-Fi battles using Mega Blaziken that he has 0 Attack IVs. This meant I pulled him off the team and replaced him with Aegislash, who has OK IVs.
And this isn't a reason why I picked Bulbasaur, but Mega Venusaur's cry sounds epic. It sounds like it's saying "let it go".

Am I the only person that doesn't like X & Y? I'll describe my reasoning.
a. They tried too hard. Sure, the graphics are awesome, but the 3D world doesn't really FEEL like Pokemon to me.
b. Bad characters. Aside from Serena, Wulfric, Korrina, Clemont, and Looker (not even Gen 6) I hated every single character. In terms of the Gym Leaders and E4,
1. Viola (Not too bad, but the Gym is kinda boring to explore)
2. Grant (OMFG STOP COMPARING EVERYTHING TO ROCKS AND WALLS YOU HIPPIE)
3. Korrina (Korrina is pretty chill, but she is SUPER annoying in the anime.
4. Ramos (Not a huge fan, but seeing him in the anime will be interesting)
5. Clemont (My favorite Kalos Gym Leader, and I want those glasses )
6. Valerie (HATE her, can't even remember what her TM does )
7. Olympia (Talking in Haiku is a cool concept, but she's kinda creepy looking to be honest)
8. Wulfric (DAT NAME)
E4 Wikstrom, Drasna, Siebold (2forgettable4me)
E4 Malva (wow you're a jerk)
Diantha (Worst Champion, way too easy)
c. Too easy
EXP. Share. Nuff said.

Why would we? 1st and 2nd gen are the classics.

My first Pokemon game was FireRed, so I'm relatively young compared to the majority of the Pokemon community, whom a lot of members started with games like Red or Gold. For some reason I didn't even know it was actually a remake of Gen I until I was 12 - I was concerned that it started over at Route 1, when in Ruby, which I also have, it started at Route 101. This made me think FireRed was worse than Ruby at the time.
Unfortunately, moving on to another generation, as I missed the Celebi event in HG/SS, I tried to get it through SS via an AR code that would make him appear in the last slot of box 1. I don't know if I entered the code correctly, but I got a Bad Egg instead. This made me nervous, so I reset, and Celebi appeared where the Bad Egg originally was, but the Bad Egg was now in the first slot. I raised the alarm, believing that I was going to lose my save file (I was training up my team to beat Red at the time) but a long time has passed and I just left the Bad Egg as it is, but the save file hasn't been corrupted yet. How do I get rid of this Bad Egg, and how will it corrupt my save file?

Any clue on what the next game is going to be? I haven't been keeping up much on it and I can't find anything when I look it up.

I have loads of bad eggs on Emerald, because when I was young, I used a Gameshark A LOT with it, and I guess it reacted badly.
As for getting rid of them, I don't think you can. Pretty sure they're unhatchable.

I don't see why, Gen 1 is one of the most popular.

Well, I put it in the last slot of box 18 so I can just leave it and not tamper with it. The summary page on the Bad Egg states that it was obtained at a Nintendo World event on December 25th, 2009, and that the Egg will take a very long time to hatch. But does it corrupt my party slots if I attempt to "hatch" it, and how will it corrupt my data exactly? Is my SoulSilver file doomed?

I don't, for good reason. The nickname censor is incredibly broken and flawed in that you can't use innocent names such as "Spike" just because the word contains "spik" which is a racist insult to Hispanic people. Also, it's not easy nicknaming a lot of my Pokemon as I trade a lot, so a lot of those that I collect usually have a different OT and Trainer ID.

I remember in superskarmory's X & Y stream, the game wouldn't allow him to name his Espurr "Penelope."

It's that. Apparently it contains the word "Pene" which is some Spanish swear word. Seriously? Why do we need to know that? The censor is actually present to teach kids how to swear in other languages, not to prevent them swearing. Why would they censor PC box names if they don't leave the game? Also, the censor is just as flawed in that you can send swear words through the filter as well. You can call your Pokemon "a55hole" and it can still go through. Same story with "azzhole".
