I Have a Couple of Suggestions for the SMBX 2.0 Version:

1# Samus! (Cos we have Samus Blocks in SMBX... Why not add Samus into the game? with her arm blaster?)

2# SMW Text Messages

3# CANNONS!!! (That you can fit in yourself. like pipes. or at the very least add pipe options to launch you upwards. PLEASE ADD THIS ONE!!! D:)

and 4# Horizinal/Vertical Auto Scrolling (Cos i wanna make a auto scrolling level)
Please add 1 or 2 of these ideas. D: ( though i want the cannon/pipe cannon in The game for sure) D:

Uhm...
I would assume he meant one level that can autoscroll 2 ways. (So it can go both up and down, or even diagnol)

Why don't you just make it replace one of the unused NPCs? (Npc 298,299,ect)

Imagine another api coincidentally uses the same dummy npc starman uses.

can't wait to see more awshum items like white yoshi, frog suit, etc.

But if it's part of the main 2.0 package...
Also, it could still be configurable but by default use a dummy NPC.

It's cool how you can customize the settings.

Will there be any new npcs or characters that don't have to "sacrifice" the defaults? I'm not asking to be a Socratic debater, I'm just 100% honestly wondering.

Will the final product of Starman include a NSMB-style score system? (Every time you kill an enemy your score increases--100, 200, 400, 800, 1000, 2000, 4000, etc.) Also, will it flash colours and play Starman music? Anyway, looking forward to this.

It will likely not flash colours, as that would be way too much effort as of now. There's no way to dynamically change a player spritesheet's hue on runtime (yet?). However, the score system (as seen in some comments on the video), has been implimented.

I hope there is npc hp modifying in this, it would help in making custom boss fights better

LunaLua has an offset for HP of enemies with more than 1HP, which can be used for modifying boss AI.

If you want to have more HP for individual NPCs, a library is currently in the works.

Alternatively, you can create custom boss HP counts from scratch by storing an integer and using the colliders library.

you don't even need colliders, just use vanilla "hit" events + onEvent to subtract the hp count
