I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling, perhaps you managed to download the wrong files or they got corrupted?

*Staying on Topic*

Speaking of Beta 4, I do hope my custom Sega Mega Drive Mario sprites* becomes a character costume on the release! :)

*Still a "Work in Progress" atm

If it's just a recoloured/restyled Mario it's pretty unlikely

Why? You can always replace the Mario GFX yourself

The costumes are getting trimmed down in Beta 4; fewer "official" costumes means fewer sprite sheets to update when we finally have the powerup IDs extended.

That said, there's no reason the removed ones can't still be offered as their own downloads in the graphics forum or included in episodes (just copy the directory structure in the episode's main folder, so for example The Invasion 2>graphics>costumes>toad>Custom-ToadWithAGiantBobbleHead or Tower of Biased 7>graphics>costumes>link>SMB3-KingHarkinian)

Yes, I've always wanted to play as King Harkinian in ToB7 and as Toad With A Giant Bobble Head in The Invasion 2.

Also, I hope you'll be able to switch costumes on the world map in the future or something like that.

But other people might want to play as the GFX too

He can release it if he wants others to use it.

Just what I was looking for!
It runs much more smoother than SMB.X 1.3.0.1 and has many more improvements.

I recommend this version for anyone with problems with FPS (generally), but SMB.X 1.3.0.1 is also worth a shot if you haven't already checked it (this message is referring to new members or visitors of this forum, like me).

I am going to have some fun with this. :)

I gives me a corrupted file. And it's a zipped one too.

You have to use winrar or 7zip to unzip the files.
If it's still "corrupt" after unzipping it, then you may have to redownload it.

There are a lot of features missing in the editor, such as the new characters, spin jump, and certain powerup functionalities (such as not being able to spin with the tail) that work fine in the actual game. Is there a way to test the editor without those issues?

Use the right tester. PGE Alpha tester is NOT the one you should use. Be sure to test levels either by selecting LunaTester, or just pressing F5.

Thank you, that helps a lot, I think I just clicked the first one I saw thinking it was the correct one.

Out of curiosity, with the PGE alpha tester be disabled in beta 4? It really should be; the amount of people that mistakenly use it is pretty high.
