3-4 player mode would be fun, unless your like me who doesn't have people to play SMBX with...
Also how would you fit 4 hands around one keyboard and screen?

Controllers, my friend, they were invented for that purpose.
As for the screen size, it's unlikely to fit that many players because it can cause a break/flow in the gameplay unless a specific map was meant for it. It would be pretty cool for battle modes as it's more designed for such chaos.

You could use Bluetooth to connect controllers maybe

Dunno why you're posting them here cause IIRC we said when you posted the link sheet that we won't change the default roster in order to maintain complete backwards compatibility.
As for "Beta 4's upcoming features":
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0
Most green things will make it in.
Yeah, I know. I've looked at the SMBX2 - Resource many times before and I admit, I only saw NPCs and nothing else. But when I've seen the Blocks section right to Effects, I've never been more hyped than ever! :D Looking at the Resource makes me more happy than ever. However when I always asked for Beta 4's upcoming features, I've always wondered about things that aren't anywhere on the lists, such as the Flutter, Bumpty or Big Boo boss (It's a long list tho, maybe it's there but I can't see it).

As for why I'm doing sprites regardless of that you won't change the default roster, I'm actually doing this for other purposes. Wohlstand would take my sprites to further modify playable players in the PGE Engine, but I'm also doing all of this for something else as well. You won't have to modify the original five playable characters anyhow. Besides, I've seen things in the website that would require new sprites, such as the power-ups that PixelPest, The0x539 and rockythechao are currently working on for example, and those power-ups set to be released in Beta 4, right? I need to help, unless they already have everything they need to do it and I barely have anything to do. :?

I'll tell more of the idea I have in mind after Beta 4 is released. Rest assured, no change in the default roster, I have something else in mind.

If noone added it to the sheet, noone bothered working on it yet. The sheet is only "stuff people had ideas for once".

We currently have no way of adding powerups, so no. Powerups are wayyy off. Frogsuit is proprietary over a glitchy 8th slot and cape is over leaf iirc currently.

Oh? I see. Well I shouldn't worry about that then. Eventually, somewhere down the line, someone would want to add them. And that'll be dope though too.

What?! Aww crap... I got worked up over that. 'Cause last time I saw Horikawa Otane with Frog Mario and the gameplay was outstanding. At this point, I suppose the Blue Shell and Propeller Suit aren't even power-ups either? Oh well... We'll deal with power-ups later in the future then. But it won't stop me for being hyped up for SMBX2, still. :)

I have a question, with all the hundreds of coded NPCs in the upcoming version, wouldn't it be better in the long run to remake the original NPCs in PGE instead of relying on the SMBX hack? All this talk about limitations inherent to hacking an exe just made me wonder. And this isn't meant to change anything. If there's a reason for this I'm glad to hear it.

If you wanna wait for 2025 for the next update...

Why would an update take that long?
Anyway, all these new features seem really cool and i will definitely play around with them when released. Will they be easily accessible; e.g. new NPC's will be in the same NPC tab as old ones, or will there be a new tab? Hopefully most, if not all of them won't require lunalua to use.

New NPCs will exist alongside old ones - from an editor perspective there won't be a visible difference. All new NPCs will be useable without LunaLua, though some may have optional extensions from the Lua side.

Current aims are to release beta 4 by April the last time I checked, although I like how the devs are pulling a Geometry Dash 2.1 here.

What else could it mean.

I don't get how it's a "geometry dash 2.1".

Both beta 4 and geometry dash 2.1 took (or taking in the case of beta 4) a long time to come out, and possibly longer than they should. On the plus side, the length of time is more understandable in the case of beta 4 as we know that there are some issues that are delaying it, which was less the case for GD 2.1.

I'm glad the new NPCs will remain alongside the old ones, like there will be a new Fishbone in Beta 4 whilst there's an old Fishbone NPC from the old SMBX. From what I'm seeing in the Resource Sheet, there many new versions of NPCs being featured whilst the old ones remain, and it's good to know that they all work even without LunaLua. It's actually good news. Imagine if we can have a new Boom Boom that acts identical to SMB3. He either jumps insanely high or fly in the air, while we can still use the old SMBX one. That'll be great. :)

After playing through SMB3 once again, a question came to my mind
Are we going to get the Muncher that spits fireballs? Or is this something you could easily to with luna?

You could simply reskin the fire piranha to look like a muncher, but that may not be the best way to do this.

The fire nipper is on the claims sheet

You could reskin wart to a muncher, then reskin his bubbles that he spits to fireballs.
