This is still not fair to other people. You haven't understood this concept yet, or so it seems.

I'm trying to make this a special game, there is supposed to be some sort of gimmick and I propose that only experienced players who played in most of the previous games can play together. It's not a bad idea? Big deal, some noobs won't be able to play, they always got M11, this will be between the veterans.

(Of course this has yet to be decided and it would still depend on the community's choice of winners. If everyone still wants a large game, that's fine too)
This isn't a good idea. If you sign up for both games, you will have to keep up with both of them.
Why not host a single 15 player veteran-only game to see 15 experienced people play together? How is that more entertaining than noobs playing in two games at once and make it seem like two normal games.
I'm going to remind you that no one here is anything close to a "veteran" at Mafia seeing as there are people out there who have played hundreds if not thousands of games of Mafia since childhood. Implying that 3-5 games gives anyone enough "experience" that others should be excluded is rather absurd and honestly downright elitist.

This.
There are maybe 3-4 veterans here, if that.

What, you have to have played 3 or 4 games? Yeah, that definitely doesn't sound like a good idea to me, I thought you just meant like they had played at least one game. And I didn't think that was a good idea either, as I said before.
FallingSnow's dual game concept sounds good to me, and if it turns out well it might be a new/alternative standard, I think. It wouldn't really be confusing at all, you'd only be allowed to play one of the two games in session.

I created a game idea with only 10 players, could we use that and someone else's game for this special anniversary?
If you guys don't know what I'm talking about:
PaperPlayerX wrote:M#: Murder Mansion
A fresh take on the Mafia genre (for this forum).
Story:
So a bunch of dudes are invited to a costume part at this awesome mansion place thing. Cool stuff, I know, but it gets DARK. All the dudes show up, and a man in a Guy Fawkes mask and formal clothes makes a speech about the party and stuff. We assume that this is the host of the party, but we don't know for sure. As soon as he finishes his speech, the party begins. The suddenly, without warning, the lights go out for a few seconds, and when the lights come back on, somebody is dead! The doors to the outside are also mysteriously locked, and everyone is freaked out. They all decide to figure out this mystery before they all die. They know that it MUST be one of them who could have done this, but who?
Gameplay:
Capacity: 10 Players
Cardflip
Regular Lynching
Town's Syndrome
This game uses and hour system, rather than a day/night cycle. People can vote who to lynch for each hour, and abilities can be used each hour.
This game plays differently than other Mafia games in that there is only one team, and everyone is against and toward each other. One of them is selected at random to be the murderer, not matter what role. The person chosen to be the murderer keeps the abilities of his role and gains the ability to kill someone every even-numbered hour. If he kills everyone else, he wins. If he died, the Party Dudes win.
Party Dudes (roles):
Host: The man who invited everyone to the party who everyone assumes the guy in the Guy Fawkes mask is. Lacks a color. Inspecting the Host will cause the Cop to receive the color of someone else at random.
Butler: The guy everyone suspects is the murderer first, because that's not stereotypical at ALL! Lacks a color. Inspecting the butler will cause the Cop to receive the color of someone else at random.
Superhero: A man dressed like a superhero. His lynch vote counts as two votes, because he is THAT important.
Cop: A man who is dressed as a cop, but is actually a real undercover cop. He can inspect people and learn their color.
Mime: A man dressed as a mime. Because he is silent, his lynch vote doesn't count, but his silence allows him to sneak around and learn if someone used their ability.
Wolf: Someone dressed in an anthropomorphic wolf costume. He can switch colors with dead players by hiding their bodies in his/her costume, but only for an hour at a time. Even if he ISN'T the murderer, that's pretty sadistic.
Old Timey Chap: Someone dressed with a top hat and monocle. He can splash tea in a person's face and prevent them from using their role ability, including murder, if they were selected to be the murderer. British accent is optional.
Doctor: A man dressed as a doctor...and somehow IS a doctor too. He can heal someone during the hour if he thinks they will die. Can do this to people about to be lynched too. He can also do this to himself, but only once.
Scruffy-Looking Guy: A man who looks like Liam Neeson during an action movie (scars + soot marks). He can write a will that will be revealed publicly if he dies. The will can be a request to lynch someone, a request to flat-out kill someone, or a request to have someone inspected. The first person to meet the request stated in the will will have immunity during the next hour.
Psychopath: A guy who is dressed like a crazy serial killer. He thought it was a brilliant idea to bring an actual gun to the party. Yea, he's not too bright. But it's a good thing though, because he can use it to kill someone every odd hour.
The only other things worth mentioning are:
Inactivity =
Phantoms
Ability usage is optional, but you must send a PM...blah blah blah, you get it.
It has a ton of problems, I know, but if we get them worked out, we will have one of the two games for M10 already planned out.

Alright, from my perspective right now, I don't really think having two games being played at once is a good idea. KoolKat has a lack of players while my game has gotten enough to be played. I think people are more likely to join a big game rather than have the choice between one or the other. It was worth a try but I don't think it'll work out again. It has to do with the lack of players willing to play Mafia, so I think having one big game is a better option.

Yeah this turned out as a popularity contest over "which game do you wanna play?"

Well it weird, why would people join because of popularity... it happens alot on these fourms but it could be worse with it happening all of the time!

If you want to count the players, we barely have 20 between the two games which we would have had in one single game. I don't think it's because there are two games. We're lacking the players necessary.
I'll talk to Pseudo-dino about what we want to do.

If there isn't already, there should be rules in place to punish users that constantly quit in the middle of mafia games.

We're going to make some rule adjustments before M12.

Oops, I was targeted as a bad guy because I didn't want to play with somebody who was going to be a dick so I should be punished, my mistake everyone, I should have kept playing and have been forced to play with somebody I didn't want to play with.

You signed up for the game, what made you think that there would be zero arguments? Arguments and drama happen in Mafia sometimes.
If you want my full opinion, read my reply to your text wall on M11.

I signed up for the game expecting a game where the host wouldn't insult a player. And I signed up for the game expecting people to play it smart and not randomly vote somebody based on the roles they were in previous games.

Layla apologized. While it was still wrong, and I'm still kinda aggravated about it, it didn't change the flow of the game, necessarily.
Also, about Gohan, while his vote didn't have much logic, he was still right about Marina being a Mafioso. While his reason didn't have logic at the time, it was still a reason to vote for someone. When voting for someone, you must have a reason, and Gohan did have a reason.

I understand why you werent going to vote Marina, because you were both Mafia, but you guys didnt play it smart either. Everyone was equal in the situation.

Apologizing doesn't change the fact that it still happened and it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Gohan didn't have a reason to vote for Marina other than "he was mafia the last two games", which is a shit reason.

How didn't we play it smart? I'd like you to explain that before you say everyone was equal in the situation.

It shouldn't have happened in the first place, I agree, but I think Layla's learned not to do it again. I understand why you left the game, but regardless, you should have stuck it out until the end like everyone else. You signed up for the game, expect anything to happen.
Also, refer to this:
