I'm in the process of making a background. But it's not going so well.
Thanks.

This is looking fantastic! It'll go very well with anything cloud related because of the palette.

@TNTtimelord: Thanks. Although I haven't done anything else yet, but I might finish it today, I don't have much to add to be honest.
@Blue Greed: Looks pretty nice. Did you base those tiles on the SMW wood log? Either way, the shading on the 32x32 slopes of the right is wrong. The light comes from the upper-left, so the lower-right part should be darker. Other than that I'm loving the looks of that. But what is that Bowser face in the middle of the ship supposed to be?

@Bluegreed: you really need to work on the shading. Light comes from the top-left, like Natsu said.

Yes, in fact I did, but I use a different pattern technique than the SMW logs.

Yeah, the problem is, the SMW pallet doesn't have the right colors for me to use for the edge of that block. I will have to use a color that won't fit too well but will be good enough to use.

Thanks! The Bowser Face replaces the weird exclamation mark airship block that never really had any purpose. It is sort of an insignia.

You can use the darkest colours of this tileset for the lower right edges.
I always used the !-Block as a connection point between the blocks and bgos, like the fgo metal pipes ifyouknowehatimean.

@Emral: Ninja'd!!
Actually, you don't need a different color. You can still make it look better by using the darkest color of those tiles, which in this case would be that brown color you used. I modified it a little bit so you can see what I mean, hope you don't mind I used your screen as source to show you an example.

Thanks, I'll make some changes and post an updated screenshot later. I made some pipes btw.

UPDATE:
I made those pipes myself and fixed the right-edges' shading.

The pipe looks flat to me. I think it may be the shading on it.

The diagonal lines that give the crate a pattern are quite jaggy. They need to be straightened and the pattern needs to be more uniform.
As for the pipe, Id work on the right since I find the light silver lines on the right unfitting in the pattern when it comes to the shading of the right side of the pipe using dark colors.

Just sketched this in 10 minutes. Took me 2 minutes to come up with a theme and colours though.

Been working on the NSMBU Grass tileset. Should I add more to the stone and make the grass so it isn't repetitive?

Nice. I like the pattern on the fill, it resemblances the NSMBU pattern perfectly. About making the grass unrepetitive, that isn't necessary, it won't be a real flaw.
Also, I don't know if you're trying to make an SMB3 version or not, but if you are, I'd suggest you though is to use a different palette. I know you're trying to use the same as the NSMBU version, but doing so will make it look more SMW styled. You should use a more greyish contrast.

I disagree with the above poster with regards to the changing of palette. I still think it can fit in the SMB3 style loosely (which is what many custom graphics showcased here are in) without having to change colors to be more in line with SMAS-SMB3, after all, its a devamp, and I do not want this graphic to deviate from it with a different set of colors.

I never said it wouldn't fit on an SMB3 environment, I said it looks more like an SMW version.
