I am not from Germany however i live there since 2 years(because i decided to continue my education there). I am from Bulgaria.
So sunny days outside of the Summer and maybe Spring are rare, most of the days are just cold, gray looking and a lot of clouds.
In Bulgaria at least that wasn't really a problem.

It is easier to deal with cold weather than hot weather.

Winter. Duh!

For some, or most. I better deal with hot while most of my family better deals with cold.

(none of the extremes is really enjoyable, eh)

If it is too cold, then you can easily wear another layer. If it is too hot, then you can only remove so many layers before that is no longer an option.

I live in the tropics so I cannot really choose between the two since I haven't experienced winter yet. Would definitely love to though.

Most important reason that I'm more affine towards summer is that I'm doing an open air sport. In Winter it's just not as pleasant to play.

I can relate with basketball, i can't play it in the winter as i play it always outside.

Although here doesn't snow, I really like the winter and its cold climate :3
