Silver, I was only talking about the Mario. The redrawn Mario was also made by SilverDeoxys.Murphmario wrote:Silver, I was only talking about the Mario. It looks really good. Would be great in an autumn forest level. However (and I know this can't be fixed and has probably happened a lot), if this BG were to appear in a SMBX level, and were extended horizontally, the sun would appear more than once. I doubt this would actually be noticed in a level, I just thought I'd say.h2643 wrote:Spoiler: show
Nice frosty level, but it seems rather short.HenryRichard wrote:A level I'll probably actually release to the public instead of shoving in my project and not seeing it again until next year!Spoiler: show

There are some backgrounds in SMBX that don't scroll on the right, and, if I even won't use a non-scrolling background, I will remove the sun.Vitellaryjr2003 wrote:It looks really good. I guess it does kinda seem like that. And you're kind of right, since I do like getting feedback.SilverDeoxys563 wrote:I can infer you've been desperate for feedback, so I'll say something.
Yeah, that's true. Here's another portion of the level that's much more open-spaced, if anyone's curious:SilverDeoxys563 wrote:It seems to lack enemies and coins, but that's because you've screenshotted a rather squeezed portion of that section.
Honestly? I'm not sure why I like combining grassland/forest and castle tilesets, either. I guess for me, it makes the level seem more... natural? Formidable? Not sure what the word for it is. But the point is, I guess I just enjoy seeing two normally very different tilesets being mixed together in an interesting way.SilverDeoxys563 wrote:For some reason people like mixing tilesets like that, and I don't see what's so special about it unless it's clouds. I guess the "SMB3-ness" of it all looks good.
Uh... thanks? It's not actually a tile, it's just how the tiles fit together.SilverDeoxys563 wrote:Also, I like that flat tree top tile above the tree trunk.
Looks like some kinda city at night.h2643 wrote:Spoiler: show
Daang, son. That has to be the best way possible to mix those two tilesets. Dunno why I didn't see this coming.PaperPlayerX wrote:Spoiler: show
I noticed that the SMB2 grass and SMW grass had the same kind of dirt, so I took advantage of it.SilverDeoxys563 wrote:Daang, son. That has to be the best way possible to mix those two tilesets. Dunno why I didn't see this coming.PaperPlayerX wrote:Spoiler: show
