What exactly is the error message? Could you screenshot it or copy it here?

1.4 has its advantages, it has a lot more immediately accessible content, for one thing. However, 2.0 has unique advantages as well. It's backwards compatible with existing 1.3 levels which 1.4 isn't quite due to changes in physics. 2.0 also has much more advanced scripting capabilities with Lua rather than Teascript, which is much closer to LunaDLL's original Autocode.Unreleased wrote:Another fucking beta.
Wasn't this piece of shit "2.0" (that no one asked for or wanted) supposed to come out a year ago?
And why aren't you just helping with the far superior 1.4.3 instead?
Which absolutely no one asked for or ever is going to use.Hoeloe wrote:2.0 also has much more advanced scripting capabilities with Lua rather than Teascript, which is much closer to LunaDLL's original Autocode.Unreleased wrote:Another fucking beta.

Plenty of people did ask for it, and plenty of people do use it.Unreleased wrote:

Well, my PC is 16 year old. SMBX 1.4 doesn't working here on my PC, but 1.3.0.1 was working just fine.Horikawa Otane wrote:Really basically any video card made within the last.... 10-15 years maybe? is fine.NewOneZ wrote:This looks nice. And of course i have an old video card, so if this doesn't work, i'll couninue to use 1.3.0.1.
Thanks for clarifying, and I eagerly await it's inclusion. 2.0 is certainly shaping up to be a worthy successor!Horikawa Otane wrote:This is incorrect. We plan to move the PGE level loader into the SMBX engine and replace redigit's shitty one. As a result, we'll be looking at supporting lvlx, as well as 38A levels. This won't be in a full compatibility capacity at first obviously. However, we are aiming to take gradual strides towards supporting all smbx levels from all engines until the full release of PGE. And as a side note, we'll be aiming to also support international characters like Japanese or Chinese or whatever else as well.Pseudo wrote:Nah, .lvlx is a strictly PGE format, made for the PGE engine, that supports features that aren't in SMBX. It's unlikely that they'll ever be supported by SMBX 2.0 as long as it still uses the SMBX 1.3 engine as its base.Creepermon wrote:Do .lvlx files work in SMBX 2.0 beta 3? I see it works fine when I use Test a save file in PGE but in the lunalua tester none of the new functions work and if I launch it as an episode the level is just a black room with the player in the corner flickering. How are you intended to play the episode in-game without this happening?
I kind of agree, but some characters we have are kind of unnecessary while others (that should and would make logical sense to be in) aren't in yet. I think Kirby and Sonic (along with maybe a couple other guys) should be in, but no one else. We just need the essentials at this point.Supershroom wrote:I have no idea on that matter but I just want to say that we shouldn't go overboard with all the extra playables. I think we've got plenty already.
Well then prepare to wait at least 17 monthsTiger Festival wrote:DK,Kirby,Sonic,Ryu Hayabusa and Simon Belmont should be added.
