What exactly is the error message? Could you screenshot it or copy it here?

I find that every time I lose my last life in the Mario challenge, the game crashes. Hopefully this is fixed.

Another fucking beta.
Wasn't this piece of shit "2.0" (that no one asked for or wanted) supposed to come out a year ago?
And why aren't you just helping with the far superior 1.4.3 instead?

1.4 has its advantages, it has a lot more immediately accessible content, for one thing. However, 2.0 has unique advantages as well. It's backwards compatible with existing 1.3 levels which 1.4 isn't quite due to changes in physics. 2.0 also has much more advanced scripting capabilities with Lua rather than Teascript, which is much closer to LunaDLL's original Autocode.

Which absolutely no one asked for or ever is going to use.

Plenty of people did ask for it, and plenty of people do use it.

Really basically any video card made within the last.... 10-15 years maybe? is fine.
Well, my PC is 16 year old. SMBX 1.4 doesn't working here on my PC, but 1.3.0.1 was working just fine.
I was playing with 1.3.0.1 until i didn't saw this. But i didn't stopped playing the old one.

Also, this weird thing...
I opened the launcher, choosed the character and the episode. Then, i pressed "Play episode" button and it opened a 1.3.0.1 launcher. I was like "Oh, ok" and countinued. Then, i choosed the Mario Challenge episode and a character (You know, like in 1.3.0.1). I saw there wasn't any lua things that supposed to be here. I could not play as these new characters. Instead, i had the original four ones.
It sounds like it was 1.3.0.1, but with attempt to put things from an open beta. I have installed this game in its own directory (Which is means that it wasn't patched).
If anyone knows why is this happening, then help please.
Also, i don't really know english good (i am from Russia), and so that word "distribution" is still unknown for me, and i think that means "its own" or something like that.

I see it works fine when I use Test a save file in PGE but in the lunalua tester none of the new functions work and if I launch it as an episode the level is just a black room with the player in the corner flickering. How are you intended to play the episode in-game without this happening?
Nah, .lvlx is a strictly PGE format, made for the PGE engine, that supports features that aren't in SMBX. It's unlikely that they'll ever be supported by SMBX 2.0 as long as it still uses the SMBX 1.3 engine as its base.
This is incorrect. We plan to move the PGE level loader into the SMBX engine and replace redigit's shitty one. As a result, we'll be looking at supporting lvlx, as well as 38A levels. This won't be in a full compatibility capacity at first obviously. However, we are aiming to take gradual strides towards supporting all smbx levels from all engines until the full release of PGE. And as a side note, we'll be aiming to also support international characters like Japanese or Chinese or whatever else as well.
Thanks for clarifying, and I eagerly await it's inclusion. 2.0 is certainly shaping up to be a worthy successor!

This is cool and all, but I think there should be a Fred Flintstone costume for Mario or smth, Idk.

We should have a Fred Flintstone playable for 2.1.

I have no idea on that matter but I just want to say that we shouldn't go overboard with all the extra playables. I think we've got plenty already.

DK,Kirby,Sonic,Ryu Hayabusa and Simon Belmont should be added. :)

I kind of agree, but some characters we have are kind of unnecessary while others (that should and would make logical sense to be in) aren't in yet. I think Kirby and Sonic (along with maybe a couple other guys) should be in, but no one else. We just need the essentials at this point.

If we get a Belmont (Simon probably) I could maybe help arrange other Belmont costumes! (My current project has a Castlevania section...)

Well, this happened enough times now. Maybe someone already reported it (I haven't read all the pages, heh)

This happens very often when I just minimize the tab and want to open it again. It has also happened when I tried returning from full screen to split screen, with the double-click in the top left corner.
