I know that's off topic...but someone know how could be MaGLX3?

I am not complaining, I just want Quill to elaborate more. I may still be sick to my stomach about it, but I do not understand Quill's review.AeroMatter wrote:Why are you still complaining MECH? Just move on, it literally doesn't matter what the judges say. It's just a contest for a mario game - it's supposed to be fun.
MaGLX3 will probably happen in 2017. Unless MaGL3 takes a while. So either 2017 or 2018.Sux wrote:I know that's off topic...but someone know how could be MaGLX3?
The placement is appropriate imo. The radiation does take a while to go down when you're behind a wall. The lack of contrast in the background is a bigger problem for me, actually, even if I didn't get lost. I would've given it a 7.5/10 if I were judging it.MECHDRAGON777 wrote:I am not complaining, I just want Quill to elaborate more. Uh yeah about that.MECHDRAGON777 wrote:I am not complaining
That right there? That is what we call 'complaining'. Following up your complaints with insistence that you're not complaining doesn't make them not complaints.
MECHDRAGON777 wrote:You say it is executed weirdly, yet the only thing wrong you mentioned is that it refills slowly, and that is only is by a wall. Okay, think about real life. If you are under an illness, or the like, you would slowly heal. Way slower than you would be to get ill from being infected; by lets say, Snake Venom?
You say it adds to the level, evidently Quill disagrees. That is how opinions work sometimes. The idea of it only refilling (or I should say depleted back down to 0%) is based on (other than the fact I could not check if the player is not against a background object) is that you- scratch that, it was a lua limitation. (I can see that as a flaw, but not much of one, and it adds more to the level honestly).

There's been plenty of us that would've ranked much higher because one judge ranked lower than the others. Like Shinbison-Kof rated my level much lower than the other judges, but that's just how it worked out. We all have our own opinions, and that should be accepted. We get multiple views from other people, and this can ultimately help you catch mistakes or things you may have overlooked. You also can't please everyone out there. That's just how the cookie crumbles.Zyglrox Odyssey wrote:Uh yeah about that.MECHDRAGON777 wrote:I am not complainingThat right there? That is what we call 'complaining'. Plumbers also can't typically jump to 5 times their height. These are called 'acceptable breaks from reality' and people make them when they want to make their videogames more fun than they would be were they bound by realism.

I can't comment on much in this situation having not actually seen the level but honestly you're raising a fairly significant shitstorm about getting freaking 11th place in a contest. You yourself never expected to get this far, let alone anyone else on this forum. Mind you, asking for clarification is a perfectly fair thing, but watch your tone when you're doing it, make sure you're actually asking for clarification rather than throwing a fit about one of the judges not liking your level.
I was plaining on doing that for each judge if a judge did not review this contest. The Thwomp King wrote:There's been plenty of us that would've ranked much higher because one judge ranked lower than the others. I would like to request if someone would like to see another ranking list that's kinda like a "what if _____ was the only judge" scenario. I just think that would be interesting to see. XD hahaha

For those that did not catch on, I am rooting for Chad.

There is also almost a half point difference between 6th and 5th place, interestingly. If something was wrong with a level the judges really caught onto it.Willhart wrote:7nth place got only 7 points lol. I wonder if the judges were a bit harsh this time around.
Edit: It is possible that the scores just happed to even out a bit more this time too.

I'd stop talking if I were you before people start mocking you for this
I feel like I was too generous with some of my scores though, but hey it was my first time so there's lessons to be learned if I ever judge again.Willhart wrote:7nth place got only 7 points lol. I wonder if the judges were a bit harsh this time around.
