Working on GFX for a new custom boss: Tatanga the Mysterious Spaceman! I'm creating it SMB3 styled/coloured and basing it off if the original Super Mario Land black and white sprite. Changed a few things up from the original so please take a look! Not including any projectiles, etc in this post but they are coming. Tatanga will also be the main antagonist of my upcoming episode.

I'd say 6/10 most realistic wood. The sides are too even and the bits of wood are too small and random. They don't really look like bark; try making the texturizing a little less random and centred around larger bark-like pieces.

I do like this tileset so far, although I think the colors are a bit strong(not the fill, the fill is fine.). Maybe tone down the saturation a little bit (not too much, but just a bit). Aside, from that, it looks good.

Thanks you, glad you liked it! I do agree the colors are a bit strong. Is this better? Should I reduce the color more?

I've been recoloring SMB1 graphics from Mario Maker into SMW. I like both, but I'm really proud of the Airship.

Not terrible, but I think you need to add a bit of shading where the edge parts meet the part that's the fill.

...I did a really bad job explaining that didn't I

Yeah, I really don't understand what you said.

I guess what he was trying to say was that there needs to be a shadow effect where the fill and the edges meet; however, that isn't always the case. Personally, I see nothing wrong with it.
