Yeah, I am. You are still in tier 2 and there isn't a lot of difference there if your place change of 1.Turtwig wrote:You sent me from 61st place to 62nd.Christian07 wrote:I like that everyone had to go down just for me.

Its more being honest. Saying the same thing without saying "this is my opinion" would be worse, because it would seem like a "my opinion is the only right opinion" attitude.DarkMatt wrote:Hi I'm back from making content to talk more about judging.
To liken it to something more relative, judging based on opinions is like me banning people based on my opinion on them. I mean sure, you can't be impartial to the point of a perfect logical machine, but why can't one stay his hand and refrain from taking/giving points when he goes, "Well this is what I think." Your rationale is that that's what you think, not, that's what's good in a game, or, that's the way you entertain people, it's a lazy answer.
Oh and, if you think giving reviews to an official contest shouldn't be as serious as moderating this forum, then, should you really be a judge?
I say it's the opposite. I don't see that happening if the guy straight out says "this is my opinion". If anything, that sounds more like an assumption instead of a logical conclusion.krazykat wrote:Its more being honest. You're right in the sense that the reviewer does have to explain the reasoning behind that opinion.DarkMatt wrote:I say it's the opposite. I don't see that happening if the guy straight out says "this is my opinion". If anything, that sounds more like an assumption instead of a logical conclusion.
So can I say Judge X is wrong and give my own reasoning as to why that is or do I just get a big raspberry from Judge X because I'm:krazykat wrote:You're right in the sense that the reviewer does have to explain the reasoning behind that opinion.
Definitely a filthy commoner.DarkMatt wrote:So can I say Judge X is wrong and give my own reasoning as to why that is or do I just get a big raspberry from Judge X because I'm:krazykat wrote:You're right in the sense that the reviewer does have to explain the reasoning behind that opinion.

PICK ONE.
None of the above. In that case, chances are that you and the judge have different opinions. If the judge is commonly considered wrong, then there's a reason.DarkMatt wrote:So can I say Judge X is wrong and give my own reasoning as to why that is or do I just get a big raspberry from Judge X because I'm:krazykat wrote:You're right in the sense that the reviewer does have to explain the reasoning behind that opinion.
