Why not? There can be more options for people.

You won't like it if someone said you wouldn't have to make your episode because theres some episode that looks the same.

VSMBX is not going to be the same thing as Wohlstand's editor nor SMBX.

Veudekato, this means:
VSMBX - is a project which have own standard, which defined from scratch, is not compatible with SMBX64 standard (which using in the SMBX 1.3).
PGE - is a project, which have own standard, which based on the classic SMBX64 standard. I.e. fully Compatible with SMBX, but new standard is not backward-compatible with SMBX. I.e. you can open/save and use the SMBX's content and files in the PGE, but new PGE's file formats (like LVLX/WLDX) and features will not be opened in the SMBX.

That's like going up to the maker of Mario Builder telling him that he didn't need to make his engine because there was Mario Forever Editor. (Or something)

Mario Builder was great, You could make a SMB3 game with it. Even a SMB3 remake (Okay not sure about this one)

Mario Builder is really great in terms of features, but it has a really awful physics engine that pretty much kills it at least for me. I think that's one of the reasons why SMBX is so much more popular.

They are two different things and VSMBX PalntGenWohl.
As a fan I am plangenwohl but I would never discriminate between the two projects!
People have the opportunity to choose a project with a new engine or one with visual basic.
It's up to them to choose, the creators of the projects need to complete the project then the criticism at a later time.
For this Mario Builder was a big project but at levels of graphics was a little so and so.
So before you criticize the projects and their engine must evaluate the way down which of the two is more suitable for the person!

Update

Progress is going well! I've managed to fix a majority of the noticeable performance problems, and VSMBX should now run at an optimal speed. I've now gotten back to work on adding NPCs and progress will continue to be made.

Also, I opened up a new forum specifically for VSMBX and registered an IRC channel. I'll keep updating this thread with new info as it comes up, but you can check out my signature for more info about progress as always and I also keep my sig updated on the VSMBX forum as well.

I think he's saying:
You can't open SMBX lvls? Is this a new SMBX? Did you already make the engine? (Dunno what he's saying here)? Can you edit the Worldmap and save levels?

Heres the translate: "Can't you open lvls? Stop, Is this the new Smbx? Did u already make engine? Here is multi select 7, Can you edit worldmap and save levels?

Okay, the "Multi Select 7" part is not understandable at all..

If that's what he means:

1. SMBX levels cannot be opened (at the moment?)
2. This is not a new SMBX, it has its own code and mechanics.
3. The game-play engine will be started when the editor is finished, hopefully this is sooner than later.
4. You can save levels, but not worldmaps yet.

So wait, I've forgotten. Are custom graphics used the same way? Did I ask that here or on Wohlstand's place? Do SMBX CGFX work with VSMBX?

No, not in the same way.

UPDATE

I finished adding Super Mario World NPCs to the editor. Next up is the Miscellaneous NPCs, and then, ACTUAL GAMEPLAY.
