Like I said I had a few audio issues and your version of SMBX doesnt like working with DXtory so I couldnt fix them like I usually do. I'll have it fixed for tomorrow's video.
I am sorry for the double post, but I do not a bug report in the same post as my video playthrough of this. In part 27 or 28, the first level of world 4 has a background2-#.gif error where you replaced the wrong one. (At the bottom of the section boundary, it glitches the screen out.) On a side note, I spent over 40 minutes in Giant Wasphive just looking for the secret exit. (My star count is at 71/120 and I do not think one secret exit should take this long to find. Especially when I know where it is, and have hugged every single honey comb in the entire level and tanked several hits. Also, one of the gimmicks in the level almost gave me a heart attack out of shear jump scare alone. I also encountered a weird glitch the poison cave with split paths with the wooden platform, but not sure how that can be fixed.
When I watched that earlier, there was no sound.
The door that killed prox and myself is funny, but I finally know what it is for. As for the issues I am reporting this time, is with the level "Bishojo Shrine" in world 6. There is a Goomba/Gumba that has text but is not friendly. He is also glitchy as if their is a NPC text file, but NPC graphic. This really needs a slight update with all of the bugs, but that is what we beta-testers are for, right?

And I explained what happened in the comments and the video description. At least you can still hear the commentary which is the whole reason why I kept the video.
I didn't figure out that you need to dig here (so, a hint would be good). I thought it was actually quicksand while it's actually not.
I know you are talking about the diggable sand tile used in world three, I did not find out til the checkpoint. (I got the Bishoujo Pic in the beginning via tail.
For those wondering, I have 86 stars on my playthrough and the most I can have with the levels I unlocked is 88 or so. World Six is so confusing.

Yes, SMBX is very buggy with moving layers. As soon as you make a layer move while another layer is already moving with a limited timer, the already moving layer moves a tad bit longer than it should. But back when I made the level, I already found out about it and set it all up to not screw up even if you fail 20 or so times (I checked that back then) but maybe something screwed up again. Sometimes PGE plays the fool on me, since it can cause major garbage when you setup events and scroll through the event editor with the mousewheel. Some of the few things that really got onto my nerves by now, regarding bugs in PGE, since it severely damaged some of my levels in the past and I had to fix that way later when I was surprised what went wrong again. But someone already reported that to Wohlstand so I didn't do it.
Fortunately, the density of bugs seems to greatly decrease as your progress goes on. In 9 or 10 videos, not one evil bug sighted so far, only small graphical screwups and mistakes. I plan on releasing an updated version of the beta this weekend (probably saturday) so all the nasty stuff I miraculusly overlooked will be fixed.
Thank you very much so far. ^^

Hello and welcome back.
I am happy to see a new video from you after a long time. Hopefully you will not run into trouble while playing the beta. You even barely missed the "Door of Doom" himself, that MECHDRAGON and PROX had to find out the hard and deadly way.
I took into consideration most of the things you said back when you played the demo, so your experience should be better than in the past (less autoscrolling in and after world 3 etc). Also, I already edited the SMB3-styled cave level with the black boot in world 1, so you can enter the upside-down pipe easily with the boot. I actually drained the water and moved it to another hole to the right.
Also a little hint for any boot while in water: If you stand on the bottom in the water while wearing any kind of boot, you can jump with it (just jump straight up and do move after you jumped). this is never required in my episode, though.
Anyways. Thank you very much for taking your time for my humble beta. It sure will be very entertaining and helpful (I fixed that random floating bush in the underground level), like it was back with the demo 2.0.
Thank you again. ^^
I fixed the random message errors of the NPCs you talked to, aswell as a few bugs you (fortunately) didn't notice. Also, do not worry about your "Lack of commentary" as you call it - it is not that bad, in my opinion. You sure entertain me and I can mostly see your points. ^^
Good luck with your further progress. And keep an eye out for those small round clouds around you; They show you something is hidden there.
Let's move this here. The bug I was talking about was not attaching the right layers.
Also, can not wait to Prox's and Wraith's videos. I am uploading parts 26-47 right now.
Parts 39-46 did not get my voice recorded due to an interruption at the end of part 38 and me forgetting to put my microphone piece down until part 46 and as a result, over an hour of my commentary did not get recorded. I made a few comments and suggestions about most of the levels played in those parts as well. It is a shame my reaction commentary did not get recorded all due to my sibling interrupting me.
I forgot to delete the 50 seconds of part 41 due to an interruption. I did not even remember to do so. As a result, I seem pretty awkward at Part 42's intro. (If my audio was captured that is.)
hey, it would be good if you had actual screens of the levels as thumbnails, so one could see how far you're progressing, or if you put the levels played into the description w/e
because when I was looking for the thing I posted above, it was really tedious to search through these undistinguishable parts

I am really bad at thumbnails. I am using what Sednaiur gave me. (Yes, he gave the image to me). Not sure if it is different than the log or not though. I will follow your idea with the discription if I can remember to type that out. I recorded 21 consecitive (27-46) last time. I plan on making a Bishoujo Pic video where I do nothing but show where each picture is.

I have been inactive for a while now because I lost my motivation for spriting, so sometimes I usually just check the forums. Your project has made so much progress and your graphics have been more improved. Your level design was always one of my favorites, I will try out the beta because it looks really good right now. I need a name change.
Noodle wrote:Sednaiur, why does your episode require SMBX-SED? Anyone can use 2.0 or 1.3.0.1 but why SED? (I named it after you as 1.4 was named after 5438A38A)
It's not its own version; it just replaces a lot of default graphics, etc. that for some reason is reason enough to make people download a whole new SMBX launcher and files for one episode
