I pray for many things in this, Here are a few :

-Echo effect option (Like in SMAS)

-Water background ripple effect (Like in SMAS)

-Playable Bowser, Wario, And Waluigi. (Although we can already have Wario and Waluigi through custom graphics)

-New NPCs such as Wigglers, Block hoppers, Sledge brothers, and The Angry Sun

-New bosses like Clawgrip (or Clawglip if you prefer)

But yeah thats only a little bit of what I pray for.

I'm pretty sure they aren't gonna add any new enemies or stuff like that, it's probably just big features like the playables.

I think at least the stuff that was added in 1.4.1 should be an exception because obviously, no one is going to download Chinese SMBX obviously.

I think all they're doing is using some Lua codes so these are the only ones that seem possible. I could be very, very wrong though.

LunaLua fixed a lot of lag issues - they've completely replaced the rendering and sound engine to be much better while still using the original code. But I don't really think they can actually add new NPCs without overwriting old ones.

I'm hoping I'm wrong though.

Well I will be damned. I didn't expect a SMBX 2.0 to actually happen. I look forward to recording with this baby...maybe ToBX will stop crashing now!!!!

I wish you and the team good luck with the project.

As for predictions for playables... I don't really expect Yoshi's Island's Yoshi in there with all its unique mechanics including egg throwing and completely different powerup system (for all I know it won't fit in with the game anyway) but I WOULD be impressed if that were one of them. Though my more serious guesses would be for ...
- Wario, complete with dash attack and butt stomp from SML3 and perhaps some abilities from the other games I mostly never played.
- Waluigi, who would perhaps move and jump like Slender Mario from SMM. I dunno what other abilities he could have that would make him more distinct, though, so I'm probably not even close with that one. He's never had gameplay of his own outside of the party titles, so it's really up to your own creative interpretation what he'd be like. The same would go for someone like Daisy.
- Bowser? Maybe?
- Sonic and Samus kind of seem obligatory, given their (albeit small) influence on SMBX already. Though it would be pretty damn hard to make a good Sonic level without some other serious changes to the engine.
- Cloud Strife

Honestly, I can't even imagine that many additions or what they could possibly be.

My own episodes, that I've kept to myself, aren't even remotely impressive considering what SMBX can potentially do now. My goal was always to take SMBX 1.3 to its absolute limits, without LunaLua or anything, but now that probably doesn't even appeal very much.

I think that birdo would make an interesting playable character, though I don't see it happening any time soon.
