I used musplay and it worked. So, what if I want to replace the worldmap music with custom worldmap music? Since the worldmap music is in SPC, and I want to replace it with music from games like Super Mario 3D World and Super Mario Galaxy 2.
You can't, Hani.
I believe using a music.ini file in the episode folder will work.

You can, Noodle doesn't know what he's talking about. You just need a Music.ini file in your episode's folder. The default one is in the root data folder - you can copy and modify that one.

FTFY

Ceate a music.ini file
It should look like this

Code: Select all

[world-music-ID]
name="Whatever you want here"
file="Name of music file here"
Example of a music file: show
[world-music-1]
name="SMWaW World 1"
file="World 1.mp3"

[world-music-2]
name="SMWaW World 2"
file="World 2.mp3"

[world-music-3]
name="SMWaW World 3"
file="World 3.mp3"

[world-music-4]
name="SMWaW World 4"
file="World 4.mp3"

[world-music-5]
name="SMWaW World 5"
file="World 5.mp3"

[world-music-6]
name="SMWaW World 6"
file="World 6.mp3"

[world-music-7]
name="SMWaW World 7"
file="World 7.mp3"

[world-music-8]
name="SMWaW World 8"
file="World 8.mp3"

[world-music-9]
name="SMWaW World 9"
file="World 9.mp3"

[world-music-10]
name="SMWaW World 10"
file="World 10.mp3"

[world-music-11]
name="SMWaW World 11"
file="World 11.mp3"

To everyone working on this project, please take your time. Despite your great gift, the world can wait to receive it. Thank you.

For some reason I'm starting to feel something for this version... I should download it...

This game is awesome! Also I have a suggestion! Can you add Nabbit and Pauline! They are both Mario characters.

As playable characters, that's probably unlikely. As custom NPCs, you can do that now!

As playable characters, it can be done now!

It's extremely unlikely that either of those will be basegame playables anytime in the near future, but nothing's stopping anyone from implementing them themselves.

That is very interesting. I'm sorry if I was spreading false information, The0x539. Please continue to succeed!

For β4, change it to Nintendo Editor since the Mario title is getting obsolete due to other playables and varying blocks.

I don't think alll the characters are Nintendo though. And PGE is supposed to replace SMBX in the distant future anyway, and may not be specifically Mario, and is not called a Mario editior.

How do you implement new characters to play as?

How do you implement new characters to play as?
Make sprites fro them then code their abilities with LunaLua, using one of the 5 defauslt characters as a base.

If you're actually interested in learning enough to be able to make a playable character (which is one of the most difficult things in LunaLua) you should start with a basic tutorial on solely Lua to learn the syntax and the basics of the language. You can always just resprite another character unless you're hellbent on making a custom character with physics, special abilities and power-up, etc.

What you wrote in the PM is bollocks so everyone considered it a joke. We have a plan in case DMCA does happen and no, it's not "rise above Nintendo and prove that if they don't allow fangames then they don't get any fans" because what were you smoking?
It's removing all copyrighted content from the basegame and replacing it with asmt-universe sprites.

Nintendo shouldn't remove fangames, i know they are made with copyrighted content, but if people make fangames it's because they like original Nintendo products. Oh yeah, Nintendo could buy fangames and make them for its consoles (smbx for switch yeeee) :D (i'm joking)
