Needs more normal houses/town roles because it's unbalanced in favor of the Mafia. Also, the role of the Hater's House doesn't make sense. Does he control who gets lynched?

Executioner gets a random target. He doesn't control the lynch system. And ok, I guess the town should go down a little.

You should probably specify that as well as the part about the Jester role.

Smaller version of... a weird idea.
Spoiler: show
TOWN OF HOUSES

Background story: Welcome to the new town! Here is where you can enjoy pleasant houses that are peaceful! However, some rumors came up about someone wanting this town down! Just so you know, to stay in this town, you must own a house to stay in this town! By the meantime, we'll bring up some searchers and house kickers to those that have been hated enough to no longer be a part of this town. Until then, good luck!

8-10 players
Card flip game(was going to reveal role but most of the games played here are cardflip games)
Lynch Majority(insta lynch can occur)

The "Bad" House owners(MAFIA)

Disguised House Owner(GodFather): Cardflips green... This person is rich though... Is immune to night kills.

The Dancer's House: Dances to please a target, causing that person to be role-blocked.

The townspeople(TOWN)

The Sheriff's House: Checks someone's color during the night. Cardflips blue.

The Insurance Employee's House(Doctor): Gets to save someone's house during the night from destroyers. Cardflips blue.

Mysterious Mailer's House(Penguin): Message someone anonymously(PM me what and who to say) once per night.

Regular House(Townsperson) x2: Cardflips green.

The Suspicious' House(Miller): Vote counts as 2, but Cardflips red. Thinks he's just a regular Townsperson. Wins tie against Mafia.

Other Houses(Third Party)

Jester's Funhouse: Wants to get lynched on the day. If lynched, he'll set up something so creepy on the targetted house that the person who lives there will run away. Cardflips green.

GOALS:
Town: Kick out the Mafia and the Serial Killer.
Mafia: Outnumber the town and kick the Serial Killer out.
Jester: Get lynched on the day.

Ok this game is rolefilp. It has the rule where you are able to lynch yourself or vote no one for strategic purposes. No one can talk at night, people can still pm others, and use roles to host. Insta lynchs happen when everyone votes one one thing or person, now you have sometime like 30-120 minutes to decided on who to lynch. Since there is self lynching people who vote on them selves, and if everyome does it, then a random number will ve done and one person will die out of those people, as you the players jave created a KITB. 8 players and special rules.

Mafia

Godfather: When inspected appears innocent, but when lynched, is shown as there role, godfather.

Mafiso: A mafia member, appears mafia when inspected.

Town

Townie 2x (two people will be this): appears innocent when inspected
Miller 2x (two people will be this) appers mafia when inspected, but when lynched says they are miller. People wh get tis role will think they are townie (i.e. will the have role pm)
Cop: can inspect people at night.
Doctor: can protect people at night.

Strategies:
Spoiler: show
Now as cop you might as well claim out loud and let the doctor protect you, now mafia you can claim coo too, if the doctor choose the wrong person then might as well kill the cop next. Now doctor never claim you are doc, never... and people let the cop decide on who to lynch. People mafia will most likely not lynch themselves, now they do it late they are well either not on or they are maifa. Cop never lynch self.
Inactive policies:
If you don't talk or lynch during the day or send in role pms you will be vegged and you die and your role will be revealed, (godfather will show godfather and miller will show miller.)
Also if everyone no lynchs 2 days in a row, metors will fall on town and town will lose, also of mafia does not kill anyone for 2 nights as they can choose not to kill anyone then metors will fall on them, now if both parties do the same thing, then both will lose.

Is this good?

The setup has self-vote. Why would anyone vote for themselves? No lynch is purposeful, but a self-vote is actively harmful.

Also the role distribution probably makes the cop borderline useless.

The self-vote is only purposeful if there is a role that desires to get lynched, by voting for yourself, one could take the false appearance of said role, and people would avoid voting for you. However, this opens you up to night kills quite easily.

Tbh the cop can't do anything but take down one side color. Once the doctor is dead the cop is pretty much done for.

The game is nit the easy going games here, this ine requireds alot more thinking, it's just an idea, not to be take seriously, as lynching yourself is bad but if you do it in just yourself it might show you are just innocent enough, mafia might not.do it.if they don't want to lose, it is a good way to find mafia.
I digress though... at least i got criticism.

Unless your win condition is getting lynched, there is almost always a better lynch choice than yourself. Aside from rare conditions where you know that it's better for your team that you get lynched than another team member, a self-vote isn't going to advance your interests.

Also if you want a game to require 'a lot more thinking', just remove the Cop, instead of having a 50% chance of investigations after the first death being wrong.

This game shows not to relay on power roles, nit msny people would agree with it at first.

in order to add ideas for smaller games, here's my smaller game. balance not ensured.

Murderous Mafia
(Or: This works way better as a closed setup)

Six Player Version:

2-Shot Serial Killer x1
1-Shot Vigilante x5

Eight Player Version:

3-Shot Serial Killer x1
1-Shot Vigilante x7

Yeah, it's fairly simple; one serial killer against a bunch of Vigs. If everyone dies, the Serial Killer wins. I've hosted the six player version before, and it went okay.

M#: Reanimation!
Unknown TV Hacker wrote:“Civil authorities in your area have reported that the bodies of the dead are rising from their graves and attacking the living.”
Basically, a big scientific research group discovered a way to reanimate corpses. However, this caused a great divide of opinions. Half the scientists (let's call them Group A) wanted to continue testing of the formula they used on human corpses, but the other half (let's call them Group B) thought it was immoral and wrong to use the formula. The two sides split into two separate research groups and facilities. Group A decided to try to kill of the innocent residents of the local area and reanimate them into an undead army, in hopes of overpowering group B, and, possibly, taking over the world. Group B however will try anything to stop A from doing so, even murder. Both groups sent out undercover agents to gain the trust of the town and prevent each other from achieving their goals.

Gameplay:

-15 players
-Faction(?)
-Roleflip on inspection and death
-Ballot box lynching

Roles:

Group A:
A Agent (x4): These agents have been given the task of eliminating Group B's agents and converting the entire town to zombies. All four know who each other are, but not who anyone else is. They can choose to either kill a person each night, or mark a person for death. Marking a person for death means that, should that person die, they will be converted to a zombie (Zombie role explained later). A person can only be marked for death for one day and one night phase, and if they do not die during that time frame, they can't be marked again. They can, of course, still be killed.
Winning Conditions: Group B's agents need to be dead, or majority of the regular townspeople need to be converted to zombies. In either case, the detective must also be dead (Detective explained later).

Group B:
B Agent (x4): These agents have been given the task of eliminating Group A's agents and preventing the rise of the undead. All four know who each other are, but not who anyone else is. They can choose to either kill a person each night, or shelter a person in their facility, preventing them from being killed, but not marked.
Winning Conditions: Group A's agents need to be dead, and at least two regular townspeople need to be alive. The detective does not have to survive(poor guy).

The Town:
No one in the town knows who anyone else is.
Detective: The detective can choose to inspect someone each night and learn their role. Also, the Detective can instead choose to inspect the grave of a person who has died in the game. If said person has been converted, the Detective will be told that the body is missing from its grave, but if said person died for real, the Detective will be told that the body still lies in the grave.
Townsperson (x6): Like everyone else in the game, they can submit a lynch vote to the host each day, and their survival is vital.
Winning Conditions: Any townsperson (plus Detective) that hasn't been converted or killed wins with Group B should Group B win.

Zombies:
Zombies are a special role in that they are only created from the deaths of existing players. They have all of the abilities of a Townsperson, except they are not allowed to talk in the main topic and are discouraged from talking in the #smbxgames IRC. However, Zombies will have Group A's agents revealed to them, and therefore side with them, which also means contributing to the nightly kill/mark. Zombies can, of course, be killed a second time, and can't be marked for death.
Anyone who's a Zombie wins if Group A wins.

Other Notes:
-If the Detective gets converted, he looses the ability to discover roles
-Group B agents CAN shelter one of their own
-Group A agents can NOT mark one of their own
-Dead players have their names struck through and their role listed beside them, even if they get converted into zombies. If a zombie dies, however, their name will then be colored Brown.

Got a feeling some or all of this game is incredibly unbalanced, so balance suggestions are encouraged.

So... Those zombies are most likely dead since they can't talk in the main thread.

But they can still participate in the game. They APPEAR dead, but they can still actively participate in the game, including having their lynch votes count. They just can't talk in the thread.
Think of it as being converted by a cult and being permanently silenced...but with zombies.

It seems very unfun to play as the zombie though. Only the lynch would get through. It feels like it makes more inactivity imo. At least make them something that can talk or make them buffed cult. (Regular cult has a leader that turn someone ever night, if the leader dies, they all die.)
