I've been busy lately, but I have a lot of titles planned for the range. Still need to fix up the errors for BBCT, although I'm beginning to think I'm gonna need a team of beta testers. Any offers?
I would be willing to beta test some of the older episodes if needed.

None of these episodes are getting updates or bugfixes, like, ever. This is an issue with the engine not finding a song where it's supposed to be, the worst that will happen is no music will play for that level/section.

I played Pie Island and... Interesting, short episode, but unfortunately that's all I can say about it. Many of the levels are just empty and the episode looks more like it's done quickly. I will play other episodes, apart from The Great Empire 1 and 2, because I have already played them, and then I will write my opinion about them, here

Hey, it's looking great to see a lot of these old episodes being rereleased. I remember all of these back in the good ol' days of yore, especially The Great Empire.

AoF is not an outstandingly difficult episode for experienced players. Perhaps you'll enjoy it more when your skill gets better?

They are all for SMBX 1.3, as they predate SMBX2 and SMBX 1.4/38A by years. They are compatible with SMBX2 though, but don't make any use of its features.

smbx2 has a plethora of features not available in smbx 1.3, the most notable one being lua scripting which allows for additional assets and a truckload of customization options. smbx2 is, however, backwards compatible with 1.3 and can play old episodes which don't make use of those features, which is what the person you're quoting was trying to say.

It seems like the download links in the OP are all dead.
For anyone who comes across, I'd recommend checking out
this archive.org page instead. There's also
this archive.

Check the SMBX Archive right
here.
If the episode is not in the archive then ask somebody who has a copy of the episode

It is unlikely that these are episodes that just anyone will have copies of, may need wider searches for them. I believe we'll be having a public archive forum for posting old stuff & searching for smbx lost media soon enough.
