Tbh I prefer the name SMBX 2.0 over SMBX2. SMBX 2.0 would imply it's a new version of SMBX (Which it pretty much is), while SMBX2 implies that it's more of a sequel (Which it really isn't). I would actually find it more fitting if SMBX2 was the name given to 1.4.

But that would turn more attention to 1.4.

It is more appealing but it's soon gonna be objectively overshadowed by 2.0/SMBX2.
At the moment, most of the new features might only be doable with the help of lua coding, but soon beta 4 will change it and make stuff like Chargin' Chucks, Fire Bros, Skewers and other enemies that cannot be found in the basegame yet.
1.4's physics are also way worse and buggier. The player accelerates way too quickly in that game. Plus most of the new NPCs in 1.4 aren't even properly functional.

Quantity =/= quality
And making the "lol jk" too small to read makes it seem less like you are joking

Jeez, I can't get away from controversy...

We have PUBG, PewDiePie, Alex Mauer, the jackass who is causing issues here (among other idiots in the world), damn! It is the end of the world as we know it, and unlike R.E.M., I'm not okay with it!

I feel like a day in bed was a great idea now...

Well...maybe, or maybe I'll try to figure out how to get PGE working again, I dunno...

Juni is pretty boring to play as, and since she doesn't have any powerups, and has a next to useless ability, I'm not too sad about seeing her go.

The powers ups are not really important if you can make her fitting in the right kind of levels, this is a way to make completely different kind of levels to offer a completely new kind of gameplay. Was she boring to play in her own game? I dunno, since I never played it, but still, I guess it didn't needed any power ups for the gameplay itself. Take the game tess for example: you had no power ups, and the game's experience was still good with such a bizarre and twisted ambiance.

I simply meaqn that you don't alway need power up depending of the gameplay/ambiance you wanna create.

This is more or less the mindset we've been going into making new characters with - making sure they provide new gameplay options to make level design a bit more interesting, with more options for designers. The problem with Juni is that she doesn't really do that, she's just sort of there.

I dare you to make a good level without powerups, involves wall kicking and double jumping and play it with Juni. And once you finish the level, post a video proving it!

no one even correctly listened to what Iv'e said

first of all, the character is not ``dogshit``, and with the same argument, you can even blame the game itself, because everyone know that having a game that didn't play like mario is a bad game, and a level with a gimmick that didn't make it play like mario and to offer a new experience is a bad level

Why are you intent that Juni's good, she's really not. If you want to prove that she's good, make a level proving it. Don't see why we should
