What about Fun Dark Grass Level?

In my opinion that level wasn't funny too. It was just a spam level that has a lot of dragon coins which gives you a lot of 1-UPs (and it makes shitty levels of ToB5 easier). But at least the design was good.

Anyways I will try to complete my level but I'm so busy with the school so I may not join. But for now count me in.

tbh "joke level" is so vague that it could mean a lot of things

theres a joke romhack called Chaos CompleXX in which the hack is intentionally bad, but if you break down the level design, you realize the levels themselves aren't actually bad in theory, only when presented in the hack. so the game has good level design for the most part excepting a few intentionally-bad-gameplay levels.

joke levels can definitely succeed as good levels if they manage to be interesting and fun even if they look or act ridiculous. so i think people should keep that in mind instead of blanketing joke levels.

There's a difference between a joke level and a level that has jokes in it or has a gimmick or graphic used in a satire form. A couple of the better examples would be Wind's Valtteri's Fortstress levels and Eltipsta's Valtteri's Bladder. They were all around good levels, but they were largely based on a gimmick that uses satire.

Frozen Hills from CC7 falls into this category as well. It was actually supposed to be designed seriously, but in actual fact Frozen Hills was originally in TGE2, and The Dark Knight stole it. The actual joke in the level was the name of the level - "Frozen" Hills, because of the movie, rather than the fact it's an ice level, and the music - a Valtteri cover. That was supposed to mock Valtteri, who was also judging the contest.

But anyway, enough about this joke levels discussion. Let's start talking about the contest itself and how hyped we are to find out what levels other people will submit, for example.

When has anyone really laughed at a joke level? The last time I "laughed" at a joke level was way back when Credit Card Adventure was made. Now, its people making sad excuses for a level with the even sadder excuse of making someone laugh at it!
