Well, they are not grass or blocks, they are just three question blocks. This is my fault when I was taking screens. For making the screen more defecty flawless I took two screens (for the level and for the background) then I copied the level screen on the background screen. While doing this question marks and outline of the mushroom slopes have been deleted :[

The joys of Redigit not clearing the window and redrawing on a loop.

Anyway, I've never had that happen before, only when I stretch certain backgrounds too much. Weird.

So I wanted to make a desert level, started to look for some nice graphics that would look neat in one, and SOMEHOW ended with this snow level. Weird.

That's not too weird for me since you probably came across some good graphics and ideas for a snow level.
Anyways, that looks pretty nice. I guess you can recolour the big mushroom with smw colours. I can help you do so if you want to.

I'd just replace the mushroom with something else. Even if recoloured, it'd look out of place.

I don't think it would look out of place.

Well, I might consider recoloring the graphics but I will not remove them. Do they really look out of place? I don't really think so, those graphics are being used in grasslands, forest levels and even sky levels for God's sake, so what's wrong if I use them in a snow level?

It's the shading style. The dithering, as awesome as it might be, doesn't work in such an un-dithered environment IMO.

Doesn't prevent it from being a glitch.

I think he actually wanted to say that he didn't encounter that glitch quite frequently.

So today I undertook the task of creating a level. Something I haven't done in about 2-3 years give or take.
Some of you old timers might remember I made my first episode on the original forums and I believe I even "remastered" it with much longer levels and such. I also attempted to make an episode before Knux's forums turned to crap and everything got deleted (goddamn I miss that one, it was really nice and I had it on a flash drive that I lost).

I found out I actually kinda like making SMB1 levels with Valtteri's extended tileset. There's some SMB3 elements later on but I'm thinking about recoloring that tileset (or finding an existing one and continuing it) later on. But here it is, part of my first level in 2+ years.

I hope this turns into something because this has proved to be an extremely enjoyable experience with Wohlstand's editor. I use his mostly for keyboard shortcuts, mass filling/selecting/copypastaing/etc. Also the reload button is a godsend.

It's kinda boring but hey, it's a start.
PS the music is a MIDI remix I found of Ape Escape's beach level.

There are already bramble graphics, but this looks more smb3-like. Ironically I'm currently working on a bramble blast level.

That looks really neat dude! Try making bigger branches to go with the smaller ones, too, maybe.
I tried to make a larger version:

but she still does not tickle me.

This looks very nice, @AirShip. I really like those graphics but I see a problem at the middle right on your screen. I see cutoff at the hanging Vines. I hope to prevent that at the future because cutoffs aren't all that good in my opinion. Still, it looks very nice.
