Again, I vote for bossedit8.

Being 'nice' and a good SMBX player doesn't justify a moderator position though. He has clearly shown to be a pretty gullible mod and his judgement is often ridiculous. I just don't think he's a potential choice at this moment. If you like bossedit8 that's good, but I don't think that's enough to get him a vote.

Also, his posts are readable, but his English would cast the staff in a negative light. I know users don't need to have perfect English, and being a foreign member can be pretty tough, but his posts are often hard to read and sometimes don't make sense. I think bossedit8 should apply for a level judge position and help the forum in a different way.

A good mod in my opinion is someone who's as impartial as possible and knows how to mediate conflicts/help users. Even though DarkMatt might come off as rude sometimes, he makes great posts and he clearly has experience in the SMBX community.

He hasn't directly insulted users, has he? Frankly the comments about you shouldn't be considered insults. They were completely inoffensive and I don't think he specifically posted that to annoy you. Plus his posts are good and he brings some great points. The "was a bad mod in the past" thing is understandable to an extent, but he admitted he was pretty awful back then and he has clearly matured. He's more capable now. You probably dislike him because of his sarcastic posts, though that's entirely unrelated.

Bossedit8 is pretty arrogant himself (no offense intended). He's been preaching for power for a while now and even he has conflicts with some users. He's silly and I don't see him handling the moderator position well, if past incidents hold any relevance.

You don't need to take everything he says literally. Those are just sarcastic responses and it's DarkMatt's manner of writing. I think we've all gotten used to that.

As I said in the chat, some people like to use satire to illustrate their points. We can't really change that and not giving those people a chance seems unfair to me.

I would argue that SMBX:R wasn't a bad thing, but that will lead us nowhere. I agree the staff should pick the moderator team, but I think this is fine too.

Not because someone can't differentiate from sarcasm and real meaning has AS by default, but I do understand Knux's point. It is true, sarcasm can lead to countless misunderstandings, and if DarkMatt's up for the job he should at least try to improve on his communication mechanics. He quite has what's left to be a GMod, but communication's the most important part.

If he improves that minuscule problem, then I wouldn't mind having him as a staff member. Nonetheless, until that happens I'm not quite sure if support him to be honest.
