Windows Vista. Then I downgraded to Windows XP. I don't remember why.

Going from Vista to XP could hardly be considered a downgrade.

Hmm, if I remember correctly, it was a chunky old Windows 95 or 98. It was one of them though, that much I am sure of. Good days back then, especially when you raid electronics bins just for the rubber balls inside the computer mice from back then. At last count, I think I managed to scavenge about 250 of them, though I never did find out where that collection went.

My first OS was Windows 98 (I may be 14, but I enjoy the classics). After that, I had XP. At one point in time, Mom had Windows Vista. It ran pretty swell for awhile, then started having problems. To make matters worse, whenever I accidentally infected Mom's laptop with a virus, I would get scared of the virus and shut down the computer very speedily. Some time later, Mom got a s**tload of viruses that were rated "bad" and "critical" by her antivirus. Dad also had Vista, but it was on a Dell desktop and ran just fine. The current home computer we have is a desktop Win2000 with an E-Machines monitor. The monitor is older and has problems, which makes me want a new monitor but oh well.

Windows 98 had good qualities, like the Maxis line of games (ie. SimAnt, SimTunes, SimCity 2000, etc.) Ahh... the good times.

I had so much fun watching that when I was younger, literally even for a Windows 95 Computer. That was just amazing.

OpenGL? I'm not that sure but it could be.

As I recall, The screen saver did say OpenGL right on it. As part of a painting on one of the maze's walls, and as a floating object in the maze itself, the screen saver was made to show it off.

(Just for fun, in a dream I had about a week ago: The maze was part of a real game, the screen saver was merely a demo of the game itself, and you could actually lose the game by running into enemies!)

Currently I have Windows 7 but no operating system can overcome my old XP
